This week it's Baby Loss Awareness week.

Team Rhylee Racing is named after our Daughter Rhylee Ruth Griffin who was born sleeping on the 20th May 2024

We carry the Sands - baby loss charity logo on the car as they have helped support us during the difficult time and continue to support us moving forward.

On Thursday 15th October at 7pm it is the wave of light where at 7pm across the globe (Thier local time) people will light candles for at least 1 hour to remember all of the babies who gained their angel wings too soon.

That's a wrap for the 2026 season

National Finals well that was a challenge the turbo wastegate actuator decided it didn't want to hold boost and we were bleeding off over a bar of boost. This caused us some issues to dial in the car but we fought on.

Now it's the winter break we will be reflecting on the year. Doing much needed repair and maintenance to the car and enjoying some new challenges.

We will miss all of our Sportsman family over the winter and look forward to next season with you all.

Sands - baby loss charity once again thank you for your support and we will continue to support you going forward in the future.

We look forward to seeing you all back at the track in 2027

Wow what a weekend Greenlight Nationals at Santa Pod Raceway was last weekend.

We made it to the quarter finals with races against some great racers.

Qualifying didn't go to plan with us with us finishing 26th out of 28 but we have been in testing since our new remap by Street racers rolling road tuning & remapping trying to get the launch control sorted at the track. The car felt great with its new map we just need to find the best revs to launch the car.

This gave us a first round match up against Kirstie Tramm. This race saw me with a total package of 0.0357 off my dial in and Kirstie with a total package of 0.0513. This meant a win margin of just 0.0156 going my way. My closest ever finish

In the second round we were matched up against Lorna Collins with her MX5. Well this round started with us rolling up towards the starting line with me noticing that our dial ins were both incorrect and had been put in the wrong way round. This meant that we took a lot of time sat waiting for our race to start. Not helping either of our nerves. But luckily for me another win for the Swift

This brought us to the quarter finals against Dan Holloway. Unfortunately during this race I spent too much time looking in my mirror to see where Dan was and hit the top of 3rd gear meaning my race was over. Dan cut an amazing light and had a hole shot advantage of 0.2243 meaning it would of been a difficult race even with no issues.

Photo credit goes to Blackett Photography for their awesome photos as always if you are ever at Santa Pod and go out on track make sure to check out the photos they've got of your car.

With Greenlight Nationals being the time for the annual Sportsman ET BBQ it was the turn of Ben Jeffery & Lorna Collins to take the mammoth task of hosting it.

As with every year the money left over from the BBQ is given to a charity of the hosts choice this year Sands - baby loss charity who are very close to our hearts and have supported us through our baby loss journey and continue to support us and others. After the cost of the BBQ Ben and Lorna were left with £146 which was donated to Sands.

We thank all of our Sportsman Family for their donation to this great cause

We're off to Santa Pod Raceway today to set up ready for Summer Nationals this weekend.

We've made some tweaks to the map since the last event so hopefully we won't suffer with stall issues and boost cut. But we shall see

Disturbed Photography took an awesome shot of the Swift as they have done for several events now

As always the Sands - baby loss charity logo will be carried on the swift to raise awareness for families who have lost their babies. We love that we can support SANDS in this way and thank them for all the support they gave us.

This weekend brought the end of a long wait between race events.

The car unfortunately was running with issues all weekend that we had been fighting since test day on Friday.

However with some luck we managed to make it through to the quarter finals where Eva Huxley cut an amazing light and even without our car issues I think I would have struggled to catch her.

Ian Blackett got some amazing shots as always. I didn't even notice that mighty mouse was up on its back wheels next to me during on of our test day runs.

Sands - baby loss charity logo was carried with us as always. We continue to thank them for the help they gave us and continue to give us.

Time to go back make a few changes and see what happens next time

Springspeed Nationals what can we say

It's was the return of the Swift.

This weekend brought us PBs on both ET and MPH. A 13.48 at 110.68MPH

The Swift was on a mission all weekend it's first time back was against the 370Z of Drift Drag Drive who said it was like a scene out of fast and furious when the Swifts boost kicked in

In Q1 we had no idea on what to put down as the last time out the Swift was hurting so we put a 13.5 on the back close to our previous PB of 13.53. Hitting a 13.51 putting us 3rd after Q1.

Q2 brought us a breakout with new PB of 13.48 and Q3 well that was driver error of forgetting to lift my foot fully to disengage the clutch on the launch.

This brought an end to day one on the track but our friends Team Tea Caddy , Steel city racing, Ben Jeffery, Lorna Collins and my wife Eleanor Griffin put on an amazing belated birthday party for me.

E1 p**e up against Adam Wakefield in the Monster Maverick this was a fun race with us both with similar dial-ins with the Swift just grabbing the win at the end.

E2 was a rematch against Georgina Smith but this time we had the Swift not the BYD once again we had another close race with another win for the Swift it's now 1-1 in our elimination battles.

The Quarter Finals came against Clive in his truck, unfortunately, this was the end of our racing, with a mis-shift meaning we missed 4th gear, meaning our weekend was over.

All in all we had a successful weekend coming into it having no idea what to dial we made it to the quarter finals on our first event back with the Swift.

A huge shout-out goes to Gary Lake for collecting the car and dropping it back from the track without you we couldn't of had such a special weekend

It was lovely to have the Sands - baby loss charity logo back in full display this weekend. We actually had a family who had been in a similar situation come and find the car in the pits and got photos of them with the car and the logo. Its was a reminded of why we run the logo and the impact it has on other people.

Photo credit to Blackett Photography taking amazing photos as always and Santa Pod Raceway for getting the photo of us all lined up.
