Hi all. The following info is relating to a new competition that the league is planning to hold in honour of the late Tony Robbins of the Venue in Wells.

As most will know Tony was the league treasurer for many years and was a huge part of the local darting world for both the Wells & District league and also the Wells super league team.

We would really like to fill this one up with the full 48 players and make it a great day of darts in honor of someone special.

All info will be briefed out to team captains within new couple weeks but all basic info is on the post below. Please share the word and it would be great to see as many of you as possible out playing darts in honor of Tony.

Event can only be entered if you are a player signed on for either a summer league or winter league team or play for the Wells Superleague team.

FYI: the £10 non refundable entry also gets you entered into a free prize draw.

Fixtures and all league info for the upcoming winter season will be briefed out in the near future once fixtures finalised.

Wells & district dart league summer season 2026

The league would like to congratulate the Convics and Old Farts as winners of the 1st and 2nd divisions and also runners up Waldergrave & Natch Boyz.

The league would also like to congratulate division 1 individual winner Dean Baker and runner up Dave Winter as well as division 2 winner Colin Baker and runner up Stewart Hudson.

Please note that some stats have changed due to players competing in the individuals however this has not affected the overall winners of the following rewards.

Most 180’s: Martin Burrow of Post & Wicket with 10!

Highest checkout: Liam Ward of Gardeners Arms with a 164
Honourable mention to Ian Munson who had 5 100+ checkouts!

Best leg of darts: Merv Adams & Adi Wood of Nomads tied with Alex Stock & Andy Wilcox of Waldergrave with a 12 dart leg a piece!
Honourable mention to Martin Burrow who had the most sub 15 dart legs with 3!

We look forward to seeing all familiar and new teams for the winter season!

Week 16 Wells & District summer season.

Just like that another summer season comes to a close. Both divisions saw plenty of 180’s checkouts and sub 15 dart legs and as you can see from the final tables both divisions came down to game difference to crown the champion!

Division 1
Champions: Convicts
Runners up: Waldergrave

Division 2
Champions: Old Farts
Runners up: Natch Boyz

We are hoping to see all individuals entires later tonight with division 1 being in the Con Club (shepton) and division 2 being held at Wells FC (wells)

The committee would also like to encourage all players who are available to attend finals night to attend as we hope to create a good atmosphere and have an enjoyable evening on 01/09!
