🟡🟢 CUP FINAL SATURDAY 🟢🟡

Our Under 9 Yellows will be at The County Ground Saturday to face a tough Bury Rangers side in the Sycamore League Cup Final.

The Yellows have been exceptional on route to the final and we know they have the ability to bring it home. We are so proud of all the players in the squad who have grown and bonded over the last season.

We are extremely grateful to both coaches, Shane and Andrew who have done gone above and beyond to create a great environment for the kids to thrive.

For many if not all, this will be the first final they will play in. We hope they create positive memories and lift the trophy!

Please share your positive comments for the players

Good luck!

🏆 Norfolk Easter Cup Champions! 🏆

Massive congratulations to our Hatfield Youth U12s who travelled to Great Yarmouth on Saturday 11th April and were crowned winners of the Norfolk Easter Cup! 💪⚽️

Organised by this was a highly competitive tournament with strong teams from across the UK. The boys were exceptional from start to finish — going unbeaten and winning every single game along the way 👏🔥

Even more impressively, every outfield player got on the scoresheet — a brilliant reflection of the team’s attacking play, confidence, and togetherness ⚽️🙌

Lifting the Norfolk Easter Cup is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of their hard work, teamwork, and determination. We’re incredibly proud of every player who represented the club so brilliantly!

A huge thank you to all the parents and supporters who made the trip and created such a great atmosphere — and a special mention to our coaches, whose dedication and commitment continue to make moments like this possible. We’re incredibly proud of you all 💚

Well done lads — what a performance! 💛

🟡🟢 THE ALAN LANCASTER ARENA 🟢🟡

Our history is as important as our future. We recently unveiled our brand new, inflatable football pitch that will allow our members to accelerate development. With a focus on the future 3vs3 format, we took this opportunity to pay homage to our past and to one of our Founders and late Chairman Alan Lancaster.

Nearly every child in Hatfield who played football between 1995 and 2015, would have come across Alan and will testify to his passion for kids football.

We welcomed our two longest serving Committee members, Julie Lancaster and Sandra Puleston along with current Chairman, Aaron Puleston and current head of Kick Starters, Johnny Shearer to officially open the pitch. Our Kick Starter group went on to enjoy an in-house tournament, where the winners won The Alan Lancaster Cup.

We will never forget our roots, never forget the journey we have had but now is about building for the future. We are the first club in Hertfordshire and one of the first in the country to have our own inflatable pitch. So why is that so significant;
🟡 Ball is in play more
🟢 More touches of the ball
🟡 Fast paced environment
🟢 Constant involvement
🟡 Plenty of goals = plenty of smiles

The ball stays in play for at least 90% more than a match on a white lined or coned pitch. This in turn increases touches of the ball significantly. When the ball bounces back from the side, players are getting extra chances to control. The game isn't stop/start, so it is fast paced. As only 3 a side, all players are constantly involved. With the size of the pitch being smaller and no goal keepers, most teams always score and that creates happy children!

We can already see just how much this will develop our players, exciting us for the future.

We are looking to add to this age, so if aged 4-6 and interested in learning more, reach out to the club that is the most advanced in the local area, your child will appreciate it.

A huge thanks to .c_.media for the photos on the day and to and @32.clean for sponsoring the teams and event.

🟡🟢 TOGETHERNESS - ON & OFF THE PITCH 🟢🟡

The lead up to Christmas saw multiple teams head out for various events to celebrate. From bowling to quaser, from secret santa to crazy Christmas jumpers.

As a club, we try to build strong bonds both on and off the pitch. We aim to create friendships both for players and parents, some of these will last long in to adulthood for the kids!

Football may be our primary focus to come together but as a club, we are so much more.

If you want to be part of things, win trophies, make friends and learn how to be a better version of yourself, get in touch, we are always looking for new players.

💥 Fundraising and Sponsorship Challenge Completed

👏 Massive Thank You to everyone who supported our fundraiser. Together across the club we raised an amazing total of £2177 for our charity partner

🎯 We initially set a tough target of £500 but the enthusiasm and support from people was incredible and we have been overwhelmed by the support and generosity!

🫵 None of this would have been possible without you all and the support of the community at Hatfield Youth.

Heres some of the highlights from our amazing young fundraisers:
💛 U9 yellows for completing their awesome sponsored 5km walk and raising the most money with a massive £723!
⚽ U8 yellows for tackling the sponsored crossbar challenge with grit raising an impressive £434
🗑️ The incredible Kickstarters (ages 4-6) for their hard work on the sponsored litter pick! They were also the first team to hit the £250 target and finished with a brilliant £603
💚 The U9 greens for their incredibly generous donations to raise a fantastic £357

Your efforts have made a huge difference to our charity partner, Walk the Walk.

Once again, THANK YOU to everyone who donated and participated!

🥅 Crossbar Challenge Fundraiser- Under 8 Yellows

🎗️Our under 8 Yellows made their final big push to raise money for our charity partner with a Crossbar Challenge which raised an impressive £136 on Monday night.

⏳The players had 30mins to hit the crossbar as many times as they could taking it in turn 1 by 1. Sponsorship was pledged based on number of times they hit the crossbar and for participation.

⚽️For some added competitiveness and bragging rights the coaches also joined in with the losing team needing to do a forfeit.

🏆The Players were well deserved winners scoring a brilliant 24 vs the coach’s respectable 14.

👏Massive thank you and well done to everyone for supporting the Crossbar Challenge.

🟡🟢 KICK STARTERS - LITTER PICKING 🟢🟡

Saturday saw our Kick Starters litter picking around Hatfield town centre. With so many local residents showing support, the players managed to raise nearly £600!!! 👏🥳

Braving the cold and rain to take part, proudly wearing their club shirts and high-visibility gear, they took to the streets we proudly represent, cleaning up the town centre. Parents, siblings and coaches joined the children to support their efforts and help keep the local area tidy.

This latest activity forms part of the club’s ongoing fundraising for Walk the Walk, a charity supporting families and individuals in the community. The children have shown incredible enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the campaign.

Johnny, our lead coach for this group, praised them, saying the youngsters are “little superstars in the making - we’re so proud of their hard work, their energy, and the pride they’ve shown in helping their community. They were out in the rain, smiling the whole time.”

Feedback from one of our parents, shows just how close knit this geoup has become, on and off the pitch. “I’m so proud of my son and all his football mates. They didn’t just take part, they threw themselves into the litter pick with so much enthusiasm. Seeing them work together for such a good cause was really heart-warming.”

The club hopes the children’s efforts will encourage others in the community to support local charities and take part in activities that bring people together.

Hatfield Youth FC extends its thanks to everyone who has donated, supported, or joined the litter pick, helping the children reach such an impressive fundraising total.

Thank you to @32.clean for supplying bin bags and rubber gloves, to aide our clean-up.
