We'd like to send our (slighty belated) congratulations to Suzy Hardyman, a sponsor of our women's team and parent of one our U16 girls' players, for her fantastic achievement in completing the London Marathon last Sunday. Although her rugby playing daughter was playing in the winning Welwyn U16 side at the County Finals Day, Suzy was at least cheered on by her other daughter.
Suzy has raised in excess of a staggering twenty thousand pounds for Asthma + Lung UK, a charity incredibly important to the family. If you'd like to know why and see more of Suzy and her daughters' story, please see https://join.asthmaandlung.org.uk/fundraisers/SuzyHardyman/lm-charity-26
We're all incredibly proud of you Suzy.

A busy and generally successful weekend of rugby to close out the league season and festival before final tour next weekend.
The U9s & 10s had a great time at the Saracens festival at StoneX on Saturday followed by the cracker of a game between Saracens and Leicester.
The men's 2nd XV closed out their season on Saturday too with Watford taking the spoils 38-19 in glorious sunshine.
On Sunday, the women also finished their season also with an away fixture but had a comfortable win against Battersea Ironsides and finish in a decent 4th place in the league only 1 point behind 3rd.
Sunday started though with the County Festival at Hitchin for the U7s & U8s and all the players had plenty of action and a good morning. The U11s meanwhile played a friendly against Tabard at Welwyn.
Sunday afternoon was the Girls League Finals held at Hertford with all of the girls from the minis through to the U18s in action.
The U14s finished a fantastic league season not only being unbeaten league champions but also winning the cup yesterday against Old Albanians in a hard-fought game 27-15.
The U16s played their cup final against Fullerians and the teams finished with one win a piece for the season with Fullers winning the league and Welwyn putting in an excellent performance yesterday to take the cup 35-5.
The U18s, playing with our friends at Enfield Ignatians won their fixture 50 -12 against a sizeable cluster of clubs.
The U12s and minis had some time set aside for coaching sessions with Tori Sellors and Amelia MacDougall from Saracens before playing a number of fixtures. The girls had great fun and particularly enjoyed meeting the Saracens players. The U12s won 3 from 4 of their fixtures.
