Every year, we are delighted to welcome C2K to Mill Green for their annual golf day! However, this year was a little different, with the group getting back together to meet with friends, play golf and have a pint in memory of Mayur ❤️

When the team asked if we could accommodate a BBQ pit-stop after 9 holes, we were more than happy to make it happen. 🍔🍺

At Mill Green, a great golf day isn’t just about the golf, or the numbers on the tee sheet - it’s about creating a tailored experience that your group wants.

There’s a lot to be proud of across Get Golfing

Over recent weeks, a number of our golf courses have received recognition in independent rankings – but one set of figures particularly caught our attention.

Data based on handicap and scorecard submissions places Pyrford Lakes as the 8th most-played golf course in England, with other Get Golfing venues also featuring strongly:

⛳ Warley Park Golf Club – 40th
⛳ Sherfield Oaks Golf – (Wellington) – 47th
⛳ Redlibbets Golf Club – 54th
⛳ Sherfield Oaks Golf(Waterloo) – 66th

That comes alongside other recent recognition across our group, including Pyrford Lakes lakes featuring among Surrey’s leading courses, Winter Hill Golf Club being recognised among Berkshire’s best, and Eastbourne Downs appearing in Golf World’s ranking of the best-value courses in Great Britain & Ireland.

We’re delighted by the accolades. But, for us, the numbers tell a bigger story.

Get Golfing is a charity, and our purpose goes well beyond simply operating golf courses.

We believe our golf clubs can be places that bring people together: welcoming golfers of different ages and backgrounds, creating opportunities for people to discover and enjoy the game, supporting local communities and charities, and ensuring that our venues have a positive impact far beyond the fairways. The more successful and accessible our golf courses become, the more we can reinvest in them, in the people who use them and in the communities around them.

That’s why seeing so many people choosing to play our courses matters to us.

Of course, none of this happens by accident. Maintaining and continually improving our courses takes an enormous amount of skill, care and hard work. So these achievements belong first and foremost to the brilliant greenkeeping, course management and wider venue teams across our venues.

Thank you to them - and to every golfer who chooses to spend their time with us.

We’ll keep working to make our courses better, make golf more accessible and, most importantly, improve more lives through golf.

The Weekend Forecast is Looking Good ☀🕶

After a very hot few days, temperatures are set to ease from tomorrow - much better weather for getting out on the course.

The greens are rolling really well and we have tee times available over the next few days.

Come down for a round and stick around afterwards for some food and a drink in the clubhouse or out on the terrace.

We even received a flag signed by every player - good autograph practice for when they’re famous ✍️🏆
