It’s a big one at The Green, Wembdon this weekend!

📺 We’ll be showing all the live Premier League action on Sky Sports & TNT Sports — including the Manchester derby on Sunday! 🔥

And don’t forget, Wembdon Football Club are also in action this Saturday!

🏏 POST-SEASON RENOVATIONS! 🌱

Yesterday, Willow Turf Care were on site carrying out an early autumn renovation of both our cricket squares.

The squares were Koro’d, removing a layer of unwanted vegetation, thatch and organic material from the surface, before a Graden scarifier was used to open up the profile and create a fine tilth ready for overseeding.

Fertiliser and plenty of fresh loam were then applied and drag-matted in to finish.

The lads put in a huge shift, working right through until dark to get everything completed in one day! 💪

Just an hour after they left, the heavens opened! 🌧️ Steady rainfall overnight and this morning was perfect timing, helping to water in the new seed and loam.

Preparations for next season are well underway, with both squares set up for a healthier, stronger and enhanced playing surface. 👌🏏

Huge thanks to the team at willowturfcare for a fantastic job! 👏

Doors open at 5pm.
