Yesterday’s class was a little different from my usual yoga sessions. As part of Care Home Open Week, I had the privilege of leading a gentle seated yoga session for residents at a local care home.

We explored simple movements from the Pawanmuktasana (Joint and Energy-Freeing) sequence, alongside breathing and relaxation practices. It was wonderful to see how even small, accessible movements can support comfort, wellbeing and a sense of connection.

One of the things I love most about yoga is that it can be adapted for almost everyone. Whether you’re standing, sitting, young or old, there is always a way to experience its benefits.

Thank you to the residents and staff for making me feel so welcome. It was a joy to be part of a day that celebrated movement, mindfulness and connection. Days like these remind me that some of the most meaningful classes aren’t held in yoga studios—they’re the ones that help people feel included, valued and connected. 💛🧘‍♀️✨
