THE BML WALK A THON!
OUR NEXT COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING EVENT!
💗 HAVE YOU BOOKED YOUR SLOT?💗
This is a relay walk over 3 days, starting and changing over at the BML Fitness Studio.
Each hour will have a minimum of 2 people walking.
You can sign up with friends/family, or just sign on and I’ll make sure you are with like minded and ability people.
You can choose to walk 1-hour, multiple hours together, or choose multiple hour slots separated over the day/days – basically make it work for you 😊
Those doing more than one hour together will be given longer plans to follow so you don’t have to keep coming back to the studio….
Dogs are allowed, but only if you are walking with others that like dogs and you must be in control of your dog at all times – the walk can not stop to retrieve a lost pup – but more about that later! Dogs are only permitted under 23 degrees for safety of the pooch, but also for insurance purposes.

It’s the same process as the fit a thon.

How will we raise money?
To walk an hour you pay £10.
When you have signed on, you send out the BML walk-a-thon page asking for donations. Your aim is to raise £30 each minimum – but it is not a necessity. We would rather you take part than be put off by the amount to raise.
What will BML provide;
Meeting point and finish point.
The walking route/plan.
Toilet at the start and end with refreshments and snacks.
First Aid kit for one person to carry with them.
Emergency number to contact in case of loss, injury etc.
Most slots will have a guide.
Chat, social interaction and the feeling of giving something back to our local community.
BML fundraising Aim = £1000 for The Little Acorns.
Why Little Acorns?
Little Acorns Kindergarten recently celebrated 35 years. It was created by the community, for the community, and despite the never-ending changes within early years and education, the heart of Little Acorns has never changed — creating the very best opportunities and experiences for the children in our care. Lets face it, these guys are helping to create the future Wendovians!
Early years is incredibly underfunded, yet They are expected to provide so much. As a charity, they work really hard to give children as many wonderful experiences and opportunities as possible, but financially it can be a real challenge. Support from local businesses and organisations genuinely makes such a difference.
Every charity is facing its own challenges at the moment and Little Acorns is no exception. They are dealing with increasing costs. With these increases, they still want to ensure that the future generations of Wendover receive a top notch start to their early learning journey.
They are particularly passionate about reading and developing a love of books from a young age. They are desperate to restock their book collection. They also run a lending library, allowing families to borrow books and enjoy them together at home.
