Westerham Town Council has proposed installing a mast in King George's Playing Fields, an area of natural beauty. The AI-generated photo shows what it will look like.

We all know we need better connectivity in Westerham, but we urge SDC to deny planning permission.

There are plenty of other places around Westerham where this could go, but unfortunately, the town council has picked this spot because it's an easy option for access, and they will receive rent each year for it.

Not only will it be a blot on the landscape of our lovely park, which is only supposed to be used for recreational purposes, but no one knows the long-term effects, if any, of 5G. Installing it next to the children's playground, skate park, and bowls club, let alone where 400 or so children play football at weekends, seems to us a risk that should not be taken.

Westerham Sports Association will be opposing this with SDC. If anyone would like more info or to share an opinion with SDC, you have until August 13th. Please see the link below:
