We received an impromptu visit from Councillor Mike Solomon last week during a playing session, and he continues to offer his enthusiastic support for the club, and the SMG venue 👍
There are imminent plans to provide storage for our kit via a container on site and he is keen to expand the club in future
We hope to host events during the year and look forward to a fun summer at the piste!

WsM Petanque Club v Royal Wootton Bassett Petanque Club on Thurs 5th October …..
We welcomed RWB, a long established club with more than 30 yrs experience, to the SeeMonster Gardens for our first match against another team, when they kindly visited us on the way to Westward Ho!
Watching the game were Cllr Mike Solomon and other members of WsM, and after photos and a gift of beer 🍺 to WsM the games began!
On Piste 1 - Jim Bartlett ( team capt) and Roy Farrant (player/pointer of the tournament ) won both games 13-0 and 13-11
On Piste 3 - Lew Hartley (chairman) and Paul Steer had mixed fortune, losing the first 11-13, but winning the second time limited game 7-3
On Piste 6 - Clive Poole and Stephen Steer-Smith (secretary) played against a RWB triple, in a very close encounter, winning the first game after being 6 down in the first throw, but closely losing the second 12-13
All the games were full of joy, and apart from a dog coming onto the pistes it was overall a really good event enjoyed by all!
We wish RWB every success in their trip and look forward to a return match with pleasure
Thanks to all who organised, played and supported 😁
