Our IMC training days are the days that I genuinely look forward to every year. ❤️

I always come away from it having learnt something new, had something clarified and, most importantly, feeling even more confident that I’m heading in the right direction.

There’s something really special about spending three hours in a room full of like minded people, all there because they want to learn, improve and become better martial artists.

Being taught by Master Finch our Head of Curriculum, and having the opportunity to soak up his passion, dedication and incredible knowledge, is something I personally find so valuable.

It challenges me.
It makes me think.
It gives me things to take away and work on.

And sometimes it’s simply that moment when something suddenly clicks and you think, “Ahhh… now get it!” 🥋

For me, it’s worth every penny.

B is for BRAVERY 🫣🥋

Being brave doesn’t always mean doing something big.

Sometimes it’s walking into a new class, trying something for the first time, having a go when something feels tricky, or simply saying “I’ll give it a go!” 🌟

In Mighty Matts, we encourage little ones to step outside their comfort zone, try new things and discover just how capable they are.

A change of venue always means class is a bit smaller but that didn’t dampen the energy in the room 👍🏼

Mighty Matt’s were super focused and had so much energy that after a quick warm up we went straight into pad work before moving into line work and hand drills 🤩

Juniors had an evening of partner work which included a warm up, hand drills and pad work 👊🏼

Leadership have moved onto sparring so tonight was rounds of sparring with added handicaps into them 🥊

Ladies/adults had a running warm up with some drill work added into it before we moved onto some line work specifically covering kicks and combinations of kicks 😊

Thank you to my assisting team, I really couldn’t do it without you 🥰

We will be back at our usual Winterstoke location next week.
