Elmbridge Road Runners

We were so grateful to receive a cheque from Elmbridge Road Runners for £1,000. They generously supported the Foodbank during their annual 10k event in the summer.
We will use this money to help us supply food and other essentials to those struggling to make ends meet.
Thank you to the whole team at the club for all your efforts. 💚

Well done to our Elmbridge members who were out in force today to mark parkrun’s 22 birthday.

The biggest contingent turned out at Kingston parkrun to celebrate Joe’s 50th run, and Bella and Felicity got in on the action as well with some great PBs 🎉

Elsewhere Sarah and family parkran in Holland, Guilaine and Trish were at Queen’s Belfast and Chris ran at Barry Island - tidy!

Closer to home, Jon & Sue were at Upton Court, while Gareth & Julianne paced Crane parkrun.

September has been a busy month for Elmbridge parkrunning!

Our summer parkrun league came to an end (we put one on each season using the parkrun/5k app); 39 members participated over the 12 weeks, with Guilaine, Gareth & Sarah nabbing the podium positions & coveted trophies at Brooklands.

Elsewhere our members were busy celeb spotting - Jon at Amager 🇩🇰 with Dame Kelly Holmes and Bella & Zoe at Morden parkrun with not one but two famous faces - Joe Wicks and Darren Wood - the first parkrunner to reach the 1000 milestone!

As always we ended our month with a club parkrun, September’s was at lovely Sandhurst Memorial parkrun and featured a 50th milestone and some rather a scrummy homemade banana bread 😋
