⚓ ANOTHER BUSY WEEK AT THE ROYAL DORSET YACHT CLUB! ⚓

There's plenty happening at the Club this week, from live music and Formula 1 to the return of our Sunday Movie Matinees! 🍻🎶🏎️🎬

Here's when you can join us:

🍺 WEDNESDAY 23rd SEPTEMBER Open 6pm until close

🍺 THURSDAY 24th SEPTEMBER Open 6pm until close

🎤 FRIDAY 25th SEPTEMBER Open 6pm until close

Live music from the fantastic Terry Starr & Leni B! Come along, enjoy a drink and get your weekend off to a great start!

🏎️ SATURDAY 26th SEPTEMBER Open 11am – 3pm

Join us for the F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, starting at 12 noon! Catch all the action with a drink in hand and enjoy the race with fellow F1 fans!

Reopening at 6pm until close.

🎬 SUNDAY 27th SEPTEMBER Our first Movie Matinee of the season!

Club opens at 2pm, with the film starting at 2.30pm. Starting the season with a big name action comedy - don't miss it!

Settle in, relax and enjoy an afternoon at the movies in the comfort of your Club.

🧠⚓ IT’S QUIZ NIGHT TONIGHT AT THE ROYAL DORSET! ⚓🧠

Gather your team, summon those completely useless facts you’ve been storing for years, and join us TONIGHT for our monthly RDYC Quiz Night! 🎉

🍻 Bar open from 6pm
🧠 Quiz starts at 7pm
💷 Just £2 per person
👥 Teams of up to 6

Expect plenty of laughs, a little friendly rivalry, some inspired guesswork and, almost certainly, at least one question that will have the whole table saying “I knew that!” five seconds too late. 😂

Members and guests are very welcome, so grab your cleverest friends and come along for a cracking evening at the club.

Friday 18th September – Open Mic Night: Live music begins at 7pm, with the bar open from 6pm until close. Whether you would like to perform or simply enjoy the music, everyone is very welcome.

⛵ RDYC CLUBHOUSE OPENING HOURS

For the foreseeable future, the clubhouse and bar will be open:

🍺 Wednesday: 6pm – Close
🍺 Thursday: 6pm – Close
🍺 Friday: 6pm – Close
🍺 Saturday: 6pm – Close
🍺 Sunday: 1pm - 5pm (F1 Spain)

Sadly, except for the F1 events we’ll be closed during the daytime for the time being.

As a members’ club, the RDYC has always depended on members giving a little of their time to keep the clubhouse open and thriving. At the moment, we simply don’t have enough volunteers to cover daytime shifts.

And that’s a shame, because the members are there. The clubhouse is there. The bar is there. We’re just missing the person behind it.

Could that person occasionally be you? ⚓

If enough members volunteered for just one regular daytime shift, we could start opening those doors again.

No experience is necessary, full training is provided, and you’ll be helping to keep alive more than 150 years of RDYC history — while ensuring this special place continues to thrive for generations to come.
