🎉Little Rippers and Whitby Rippers End of Summer Surf Competition 🎉

📍Sunday 6th September, 1pm onwards. £10pp.

🌊Friendly surf competition for those that have attend our rippers clubs this year. Prizes for 1st/2nd/3rd. Ages 5-8 and 9-12.

🏖Sandcastle competition also happening!

Have one last family beach day while the lifeguards are still on service. Lifeguards on duty 10am-6pm and tomorrow is their last day!

Price includes:
1x kids wetsuit hire and bodyboard for all afternoon (can be swapped to surfboards after the comps are finished)
1x adults wetsuit (optional)
Entry to both surf and sandcastle competition.

Plenty of buckets and spades available from us to borrow. Bring a picnic or visit the cafe 😋 Plenty of deckchairs available.

Wetsuits and equipment to be returned by 5:30pm

🌊 Another 2 Minute Beach Clean board is back in action! ♻️

We’ve been out giving another board some much-needed TLC - removed the rubbish, cleaned it up and refilled it with litter pickers and bags.

📍 This one is located down by the RNLI Lifeboat Museum, opposite the Trillos Ice Cream Kiosk, ready for anyone who wants to spend a couple of minutes helping keep our beach looking its best.

You don’t need to spend hours cleaning the beach. Grab a picker, fill a bag, do your bit, and get back to enjoying your day. Two minutes can make a difference. 💙

The idea is simple 👉 if you've got two minutes to spare, grab a picker, collect a few bits of litter and help leave the beach a little better than you found it.

You don't have to dedicate your whole afternoon to beach cleaning. Sometimes two minutes is all it takes. And if lots of people do those two minutes, it soon adds up. 💙

❗️Please remember to return the pickers to the board afterwards so someone else can have a go! I'll be keeping an eye on this one to make sure it stays ready

🏖See any abandoned beach toys? Don't forget we have a borrow-play-return box at the surf school where you can donate toys 🫶

A big thank you to everyone who already uses the boards and helps look after our coastline. 🌊🫶
