Rainbow Boogie 26 Update

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but due to aircraft issues, we have had to cancel it this year ☹

This isn't a decision we have taken lightly; in fact, the Rainbow Boogie is the highlight of our year, and we are gutted to have to cancel.

We were expecting to have a Caravan here from the beginning of April, but due to maintenance delays, it hasn't arrived and is unlikely to be here for at least another 6 weeks. We have tried to find an alternative aircraft, even asking operators in Europe, but none are available. We have also looked at moving the Boogie to later in the year, but as so many events are already in people's calendars, finding another date that doesn't clash is impossible.

So it is with heavy hearts that we have decided to cancel the event for this year and will come back bigger and brighter next year.

Well that was a busy weekend.

Congratulations to Tim Elton on gaining his British Skydiving A License, Emlyn Hughes on doing his 400th skydive, and Gary Windon on his 1000th jump and gaining his British Skydiving D license.

Also a belated congratulations to Jacob Hopkinson who gained his A license on the 19th of April.

It isn’t the aircraft we wanted to use today, but after a 33 year hiatus this was the first lift to jump at Tilstock on a Sunday.

Dave Major 2nd from the left, in red, jumped on the last Sunday back in 1993, so only fitting he got to jump on this lift.
