Cwmbran 33 - Whitchurch 50 ☀️👏🏻 What a perfect day for a game of rugby. Whitchurch Warriors headed up to Cwmbran and had a brilliant welcome. Whitchurch Warriors ran in 8 tries in a perfect team effort. Tries made this week by Iestyn (5), Max (1), Will (1) & Morgan (1) with 5 conversions by Morgan. Cwmbran scored 5 tries and 4 conversions. This week we managed to keep cooler heads when we gained the lead in the first half, and maintained the lead with some lovely performances from the team. Well done all and thanks to the parents for making the trip today 👍👍👏👏👏🍾🍾🍾 #whitchurchwarriors

Another great weekend of rugby at Hailey park lined up. Our seniors are kicking the weekend off with a 14.30pm K.O tomorrow. Followed by our u8s, u9s ,u11s and u12s who are all playing at home on Sunday. With the first K.O at 9.30am, Come support some grassroots rugby this weekend ⚫️⚪️

Under 12s are playing at home today! If your child is in year 7 and interesting in joining a rugby team outside of school pop down and say hello! We’re at the top end of Hailey Park by the changing rooms. Message us for more info 🤩

What a lovely morning for rugby, let's forgot yesterday's match and show what grassroots has to offer 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿⚫️⚪️. While our u8s, u9s, u11s and u14s are all on the road our u12s and u13s are playing at home. U12s kicking it off at 10.30am followed by the u13s and if you really want to make a day of it Whitchurch RFC Women will be welcoming Taffs well wrfc to Hailey park for a 2.30pm K.O. ⚪️⚫️ Whitchurch RFC vs Port Talbot RFC 🟡⚫️

A huge shoutout to the lads and families who traveled from Port Talbot for Sunday morning’s game! Also, a massive thank you to the Whitchurch RFC parents who volunteered to run the tuck shop, set up pitches, complete pitch checks, and help run the lines—we couldn’t do it without you all! 🙌👏

Both sides played some fabulous rugby, covering the whole pitch in a close game that demanded real effort. At one point, there was nearly 10 minutes of non-stop game play! Huge well done to everyone who took part today.

Teamwork really paid off for Whitchurch, leading to some brilliant moments for the boys—but Port Talbot weren’t going to give up easily. Each time the away side caught up, they pushed on and eventually overtook Whitchurch in the lead.

There were some great tackles, handoffs, and all-around play. But the Man of the Match has to be Max for his determination, commitment, and focus throughout the game! He gained some great ground and was always on hand to help when needed. Well done, Max—super effort! 🏉👏👏
