What a fantastic night again, with pool, a lovely buffet put on by the home team and a fantastic amount of prizes for the raffle which raised £106 which was donated to The Countess of Brecknock Hospice .
It was very close throughout the night, and after all 16 games played the score was at 8 all meaning the 2 captains had to play again for the decider. The Night went to the Prince clinching it, making it 4-2 to the Prince over the 6 years the event has been running.
A big shout out to Craig, Gary, Simon and Ali for organising it and thank you to all involved and look forward to next year.

Good evening.
Don't forget to pop in the Prince this Friday from 7.30 pm onwards to collect your trophies if you won them in Season 2019/20.
Looking forward to seeing you

Further to the previous announcement, there are a few amendments. The date to distribute the trophies remains as Friday, 12th August from 7.30pm onwards so no amendment there.
Amendment 1 - We forgot to mention that the Prince Pocket Knockers who came 3rd in the league have trophies to collect.
Amendment 2 - The Team Knockout Plate Winners were the Old Gits at Home, not the Greyhound Ball Scratchers (sincere apologies Ian Williams and the team for this rather large error!!)
If you haven't already let Ali Freeborough know you/your team will be attending, can you do so please as there will be some finger food provided on the night and it would be good to know roughly how many to cater for.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it, it's been a while and would be nice to catch up.
Many thanks

The annual Betty Belshaw Invitational match returned on Saturday as two of her former sides met to celebrate and remember all that Betty did for both the Whitchurch and Andover pool leagues.
In an entertaining match it was the Prince Regent that edged it, beating the Station by 10 frames to 5.
Once again the match was played in a great spirit but with a competitive edge to embrace everything that Betty enjoyed about pool.
We would like to thank everyone that took part in the match, helped prepare food and brought along prizes for the raffle.
It was another hugely successful night and most importantly another great occasion to share memories of Betty.
Both teams are now looking forward to the next match which will be hosted at the Station Inn in 2022.

*** LEAGUE NOTICE ***
Following the AGM last night, due to the lack of both new Committee Members and team entries, we are in fear of having to fold the league how it stands.
However, we are looking into the possibility of playing a new league under World Rules instead of the old EPA Rules.
More information will follow shortly...... So watch this space

REQUIRED #
With the AGM coming up this week, 6th October, we need volunteers to join the committee including the chairman's role and other senior positions. Without your support the league maybe in danger of being discontinued!
If anyone wishes to stand for chairman, league secretary, competition secretary or just to be on the committee please contact us asap.
As it currently stands we do not have enough numbers/senior positions filled to run the league.
Thanks
Kevin
