This was Whitecrofts U10’s first game at Grove Road and they continued their great start to the season with a tight fought encounter with Highnam Hawks. With plenty of players on show it was great to see the squad preform as a whole. Early dominance wavered slightly as Highnam came back into the game but it didn’t stop the determination and commitment. Even in the face of conceding the attitude and will to drive forward with the ball shone through in a great climax to the game. Special mention the opposition goalkeeper that made several saves in succession that took the watching crowds breathe away. On to Hearts Of Gloucester next week where hopefully the progression can continue.

6-1 win
Great game from the lads today
From the sweeper keeper all the way through to the finishing of the strikers

Battles were won and lost in the middle but the boys in black and green played with heart and grit and played the way we train and come to expect

U8 Greens vs Highnam

The U8 Greens enjoyed a hard-fought game against Highnam this morning. Whitecroft created lots of chances with their hard-working press and came in with the lead at half time. Highnam came out strongly in the second half and drew level. However, a strong fourth quarter ensured we came out on top, admittedly with a couple of nervy moments towards the end!

An unbelievable team effort from start to finish, with some amazing passing throughout the game. The boys worked brilliantly together, moving the ball around and showing fantastic teamwork.

Another fantastic effort from the Whitecroft U11 Blacks! 🖤⚽

The boys delivered a brilliant all-round team performance, showing plenty of determination, teamwork and quality throughout the game.

⚽ Reilly got on the scoresheet with a well-taken goal, while Clay produced an absolute TOP BINS SCREAMER 🚀🔥 — an unstoppable strike into the top corner!

⚽ Otto then added another cracking goal to complete the scoring for the Blacks.

At the other end, Oscar W was outstanding in goal, pulling off some great saves when the team needed him most. 🧤👏

Defensively, Ted, Joe, Clay and Oscar H worked tirelessly, battling hard to keep Olveston at bay.

In midfield and attack, Jacob, Billy, Noah and Reilly worked brilliantly together. Clay also put in a strong shift in midfield, helping to win the ball, drive the team forward and create opportunities.

What a performance from the team this morning!

Whitecroft U8 Blacks put on an absolute masterclass at home against Lydney, and every single player on that pitch was on absolute fire from the first whistle to the last.

The passing of the ball today was incredibly sharp and precise, tearing through the opposition and dictating the tempo of the entire game.

Defensively, the work rate was unmatched—every tackle was timed to perfection, and our keepers and backline made some unbelievable, game-saving stops to keep Lydney at bay.

A massive congratulations to Chester for an outstanding performance and earning Coaches' Player today! Absolutely fully deserved.

Also, a huge shout out to our goalscorers today who were lethal upfront—Albie bagging an incredible hat-trick ⚽️⚽️⚽️ and Chester adding another two ⚽️⚽️ to his brilliant day!

A massive shout out and thank you to the club as well for providing hot food for the children after the match.

It is amazing gestures like this that show what a fantastic, supportive club we are all a part of. Fuelled up and ready for the next one! 💚🖤 🇬🇷
