You’ve probably been told crow pose is all about arm strength. It isn’t.

The real key is where your eyes go. Look down at your hands and your weight tips forward — you’ll fall every time, no matter how strong your arms are. Look slightly ahead instead, and something shifts: your spine lengthens, your hips lift, your body follows your gaze without you forcing it.

It’s such a small adjustment that it’s easy to dismiss. But this one change — just moving your eyes before you change anything else — is often the actual fix people spend months looking for in the wrong place.

Try it in your next practice. Before you adjust your hands, your core, your breath — just shift your gaze forward and see what happens.
