Great first outing for Kells Noah Doran with the Wigan U16s Scholarship team last night!

Wigan were dominant from start to finish, running out 82–0 winners. Noah came on at half-back for the entire second half and settled in brilliantly on his debut. He also stepped up to take two tough conversion attempts from out wide, landing one of them. No drop goals today though 😉.

A fantastic first appearance for u16s with plenty to build on. Well done, Noah looking forward to seeing what’s next! 🔴⚪

As the dust settles on a fantastic Festival of Rugby, we’d like to take a moment to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the day such a success.

Events like this simply don’t happen without the incredible support of our volunteers, sponsors, local businesses and rugby family.

A massive thank you to:

👏 All the m**s and the Kells Youth Committee who manned the gazebo and kept everything running smoothly, as well as doing all the shopping beforehand.

👏 The Tyson and Huddart families for kindly giving up space at their homes for the burger van and ice cream van.

👏 All of our youth coaches who helped set up, worked tirelessly throughout the day and stayed behind to clean up afterwards.

👏 Amanda Jennings and the bar staff for keeping everyone refreshed and coping brilliantly with the constant waves of customers, especially when Doncaster arrived!

👏 Steven Hopper for arranging the generator.

👏 Kells Ground Force Group for cutting and marking the pitches, ensuring they were in superb condition.
