🎉 Fantastic News for Sport in Cumbria! 🎉
The Cumbria Sports Academy Track in Whitehaven has been fully cleaned, repaired, and resprayed — and it’s looking as good as new 🙌
A huge thank you to the FCC Communities Foundation for their incredible support.
We’re now working towards Track Mark accreditation, which means we’ll soon be able to host competitions once again in Whitehaven 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
📅 With two fixture dates already lined up, things are moving fast!
✅ The track is now fully open, so come along, give it a try, and enjoy the upgrade — you’ll definitely notice the difference!

The athletics track will not be available from Monday 20th April to Friday 24th due to the upgrades and repainting of the track.

🎉 Exciting News for Cumberland Sport! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

We’re delighted to share that work is now underway to upgrade the athletics track at Cumberland Sports Academy in Whitehaven! This fantastic project has been made possible thanks to funding secured by the Trustees from FCC Communities Foundation 👏

The final phase of the improvements will include new track markings, enabling the Academy Trustees to achieve TrackMark status. This will allow the stadium to host future events such as Cumberland League fixtures, School Comps, County Athletics and open meetings, while ensuring local schools and community organisations can continue to enjoy the track for many years to come.
