North Shields Polytechnic Club

With the help of our hardworking pal Will Jordan, the Trustees team completed the much needed clear out of the container at the end of the track this morning.

Most of the stuff was rusted/mouldy/gross and was chucked.

The lovely memorial bench Anne Topping reminded us about in honour of Dave Scanlon was unearthed and with a bit of TLC can be moved to a nicer location near the clubhouse to be seen and used. 🫶

The damp issue will be looked at and some storage shelves etc are planned.

This should help declutter and rehouse stuff from the overflowing storage cupboard in the clubhouse gym.

Lost and found piling up again in the clubhouse.

There's also some jackets and a few pair of track spikes.

North Tyneside Trail Run 5 Jan 2025

We're down to the last handful of places now and once they're gone, they're gone !! No entries on the day.

This year we have the amazing Sarah Atkinson Photography coming along to snap some photos of you slipping and sliding in the mud, we have a new beach start for everyone and all finishers get a fantastic NT Trail branded buff, what more do you want !

Cakes, you want cakes ? Ah man, have we got cakes and muffins and tray bakes and flapjacks and scones and vegan options, yeah we've got you all covered.

And tea and coffee.

And music! We've got it all.

Nearly 80% of places now gone for the North Tyneside Trail Run in Jan.

New start this year puts everyone on the beach heading towards the lighthouse, then towards the clifftops to Sluice, under the bridge at the harbour and into the Dene and the Waggonways before finishing back at the track with some cake and a hot drink.

We've got some nice race buffs this year for all entrants and did I mention the cakes ? Ahan we've got cakes, cakes and cakes, cakes as far as the eye can see !
