Our lovely juvenile dancers have been working hard on their tap dance for Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime with Woodlands Theatrical Society . They worked so hard they learned the whole dance in one 2 hour rehearsal! We can’t wait to see you shine like the stars you are on the stage with the rest of the cast!

Pantomime rehearsals have begun! We made a brilliant start to the choreography this week!

We have three sets of children in Woodlands Theatrical Society production of Jack and the Beanstalk this year. Here are our junior dancers!

We always love being part of the productions at Woodlands and are so excited to be part of the pantomime again. We can’t wait to see you all shining on stage!

Our 2026-27 Royal Ballet School Junior Associates and Elmhurst Young Dancer Associates.
We are so proud to have Rowan, Arabella, Beatrice, Archer, Nola, Molly, Alice, Nola, Annabelle, Heidi and Isla who are taking up places on these prestigious associate schemes this month. We have 10 Royal Ballet junior associates and 9 Elmhurst young dancers after successful auditions.

Well done also to Olivia who will be joining the online training with Royal Ballet School junior associates.

We can’t wait to see how you progress this year with this additional training to the bbodance training we offer at our school and Royal Ballet And Opera chance to dance training that we offer alongside this.

Congratulations to Mollie and Francesca who have successfully auditioned for the ensemble in Mother Goose at Seaton Delaval Arts Centre this December. We are proud of you both!

We are proud of our students Elise, Adelaide, Meher, Olivia, Hannah, Penny, Harriet and Willow who successfully auditioned to be part of the with Whitley Bay Pantomime Society production of Aladdin at Playhouse Whitley Bay in January. We are so excited to see you all dancing on stage this panto season!

Congratulations to Milly who has successfully gained a place to take part in a special performance project alongside the internationally acclaimed São Paulo Dance Company in Spring 2027.

Developed by Newcastle Theatre Royal, Dance Consortium and São Paulo Dance Company, the project will give aspiring dancers from across the North East the chance to work together over several months, developing new skills, building confidence and creating a piece of choreography that will culminate in a Curtain Raiser performance on the Theatre Royal's Main Stage.

As well as the final performance, this programme includes a week-long Summer School intensive, two reconnect sessions at Newcastle Theatre Royal as well as a ticket to watch São Paulo Dance Company perform.

Congratulations Milly, this will be a wonderful experience for you and we are proud of you!

We had a lovely weekend last week at the Stephanie Morgan School of Dance competition. Everyone made us so proud with their wonderful performances. It was lovely to see the joy everyone showed in their dancing. Well done to all and thank you for inviting us The Stephanie Morgan School Of Dance.

Some of our drama students have received their results for their Lamda exams and what a fabulous set of results they are! All distinctions and high merits! We are so proud of them and also of our two wonderful teachers Natasha and Erin. Pictured here are some of our students with their certificates . Last day of Elmhurst Associates for this academic year for Heidi, Annabelle, Arabella and also Daisy (pictured here with Miss Ann). The girls have loved their first year on the scheme. In September they will be joined by our new Elmhurst Young Dancer Associates Beatrice, Molly, Alice, Rowan and Archer. Excited for you all to experience this fantastic additional training to the bbodance ballet training we provide at the dance school.

What an amazing day performing at the Royal Opera House as part of the Chance to Dance company! Thank you to Royal Ballet And Opera Chance to Dance scheme for a wonderful experience for our dancers. We couldn’t be proud! The children danced so beautifully! Well done to all the other students in the company and to all the Chance to Dance team!
