🟥🟨 MATCH RESULT 🟨🟥

Whitley Bay Rockcliff’s 1st XV were back to winning ways today with a hard-fought victory against Blaydon 2nd XV, in less than ideal weather conditions! ⛈️

Connor Madden led the way with two tries, while captain Niall Stokes and Matt Ginger also crossed the line for Rockcliff.

A special mention goes to Leyland Robertson, who made his 1st XV debut. Congratulations, Leyland, on a fantastic achievement!

A strong team performance to get back on the winning track, giving the lads plenty to build on heading into the week ahead.

Man of the Match for Rockcliff was awarded to Lewis Anderson.

A huge thank you to every one at Blaydon for their hospitality, and to every one from Rockcliff who made the journey down to support the lads!

🟥🟨 WEEKEND PREVIEW 🟨🟥

Another busy weekend of rugby is coming up for Rockcliff, with many teams across the club in action!

The weekend kicks off with our U16 boys heading to Tynedale RFC for the Friday Night Lights festival.

On Saturday, our Men’s 1st XV are on the road at Blaydon RFC, taking on their 2nd XV at 3:00pm. The lads will be looking to bounce back after last week’s narrow defeat to Alnwick 2nds and get back to winning ways in the league!

The Rockcliff Roses travel to Billingham for a 2:00pm kick-off in the Inner Warrior League. It’s a squad game, providing a great opportunity for all players, and for new and returning players to get some valuable game time.

There’s plenty more age grade rugby to enjoy across the weekend too, with our younger players representing the club.

Finally, we’ll also be kicking off our Poppy Appeal this weekend. Poppies and many other items will be available, including our Whitley Bay Rockcliff poppy pin badges. Please donate whatever you can to support this important cause.

Thanks, as always, for your fantastic support across the club, and enjoy the rugby!
