Post greens maintenance update.

Today the greens were hand cut at 5mm and looking great considering it is 2 days since we finished maintenance. All holes have been changed ready for the weekend.

Unfortunately, it has been decided to keep greens 6 through 9 out of play this weekend until Monday, in order to give these greens a prolonged rest to aid recovery. We hope everyone is understanding of this decision, it will definitely help improve the surface of said greens.

We have cut temporary greens for these 4 holes, naturally they are not great for putting on due to being on the fairways. This is just a short term issue until the greens are reinstated on Monday.

We hope everyone has a great weekend.

Thanks,
The Greens Team

Maintenance on greens is now complete and all greens (with exception of 6 through 9) are back in play.

As stated, we will leave greens 6 through 9 on temporary as long as possible to aid recovery.

Work has started and will continue for the rest of this week on tees, we are verti draining down to 6 inches, top dressing them then going over the top with 13mm tines down to 4.5 inches to work the dressing in, followed by a final brush.

Once again we thank everyone for their patience during this time.

We are working on a small video to showcase some of the work that has been carried out since Monday.

Thank,
The Greens Team

It’s here, the week all golfers dread, maintenance week. We can’t stress enough how important this work is for the long term health of your course.

As always we strive to complete our work as quickly but effectively as possible.

All greens will be deep spiked down to 10 inches with 12mm thick tines, greens will then be top dressed and brushed into the holes, we will then go back over the greens with a 4 inch 10mm tine, top dressing more and then overseed with a Bent grass species.

The newer greens (6 through 9) will be hollow cored with a 13mm tine to help remove a layer of excess thatch that has been brought about from the turf used when the greens were constructed. We plan to leave these 4 greens out of play for as long as we can this week.

Once work is complete on the greens we will be pushing more holes into the surrounds and then we will core teeing surfaces. Again top dressing will be applied and seed spread across all surfaces.

Temporary holes will be in play while work is carried out, these holes may be placed on a surround on the fairway depending upon the hole. The 3rd hole will be closed until works are complete in this green.

Once again we thank you for your patience during this time.

Few pictures from this week.

Also, just to remind everyone, next week will see the team carry out maintenance on the greens. We appreciate everyone’s patience as this important work is carried out. As always we endeavour to get greens back in play as soon as possible.

Happy golfing 🏌️‍♂️

*RECRUITING*

Course setup for Saturday is complete and greens are running well at a steady 9.6ft.

Please note we have applied a granular to greens 6, 7, 8 and 9, as everyone is aware these newer greens have been struggling these past few weeks. The fertiliser will help improve root growth and strengthen the plant improving these areas. Due to the granular these greens were not rolled this morning which will see these greens roll slightly slower.

We appreciate everyones patience as we work on ensuring these greens come up to standard with the remaining greens.

We hope everyone has a great weekend 🔥

Beautiful Saturday morning for course setup, greens cut and rolled, all bunkers raked, the 9th bunkers will remain GUR this weekend due to fresh piles of sand remaining in them.

Todays green speed is 9.2

Have a great weekend everyone 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

This morning the team are topping up bunkers around the course.

For the majority of the morning sand will be dumped in bunkers and the distributed as the day goes on, all bunkers that have new sand in that has not been distributed will be classed as GUR until completed.

Thank you for your patience while this task is carried out 💪🏽
