Everyone at Wickford Town FC is incredibly proud to congratulate our Chairman, Clive Lodge, on receiving the Essex County FA 20 Year Long Service Award.

Since joining the club in 2005, Clive has been at the heart of Wickford Town FC, dedicating countless hours in a variety of roles including Chairman, Vice Chairman, Trustee and Development Officer. His passion, leadership and commitment have helped shape the club into the thriving community hub it is today.

From supporting players, coaches and volunteers across multiple age groups to driving major projects such as the development of our new facilities, Clive’s vision and dedication have left a lasting impact on thousands of young people and families in our community.

This award is a fitting recognition of two decades of tireless service, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he continues to do for Wickford Town FC.

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible volunteers who make everything we do at Wickford Town Football Club possible.

From coaches and team managers to café staff, fundraisers, committee members, grounds volunteers, welfare officers and event helpers – every volunteer plays a vital role in creating opportunities for over 500 young people in our community.

🇩🇪⚽ What an incredible experience for our young players! ⚽🇩🇪

Wickford Town FC were proud to recently travel to Heiligenhaus, Germany as part of the Basildon Borough Twinning Association football exchange tournament alongside Greensted Primary School and Lee Chapel Primary School.

Over the course of the trip, our players not only represented the club brilliantly on the pitch, but also represented our community, borough and country with fantastic behaviour, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout. 💛💚

The boys had the opportunity to experience a different culture, make new friendships, take part in international football and create memories that will stay with them for years to come. Trips like these are about so much more than football — they help build confidence, independence, communication and lifelong experiences.

A huge congratulations to all of the players involved, with Wickford Town FC finishing runners-up in our tournament section 👏🏆

A huge congratulations to Tate on being recognised as one of our latest Jack Petchey Foundation Achievement Award winners at Wickford Town Football Club! 👏⚽

Tate was nominated for his incredible dedication to his team, his unselfish attitude both on and off the pitch, and for always being so helpful at training. He consistently shows what being part of a team is all about — supporting others, working hard and leading by example.

We are incredibly proud of the positive attitude and commitment Tate brings to the club every week. He is a fantastic role model for his teammates and fully deserves this recognition.
