Week 4 - Post Hysterectomy.
What I've learnt......
I'm a s**t patient 😂😂
I've been bored!!!
No, in all seriousness.... Recovery is going great!!
•I've not had to take any pain medication
•Been active since day 1.. (have rested when I've done a little, too much 👀😂)
•Surgical/instant Menopause is treating me kinder than medical menopause did (on both occasions)
•The worst part has been the slow, post-surgery bowel "wake-up! Jeeez.. that s**t was serious!! 😳😂
I know it's not the same for many, but so far... it's been a breeze!!
A doddle compared to the recovery from previous surgeries, the daily pain and other symptoms I had for so many years.
Still a long road to getting back to 100%, but a positive one....
•I'm slowly returning back to classes... I've missed them, I've missed dancing and my body needs to movement.
•Doctor has been great and pro-active with menopause/HRT support.
•I'm planning/doing everything , within my knowledge, to help my body recover and strive... Supplements, Strength training and anything else to help my future self/body.
Living with debilitating conditions for so long, really impacts many factors of daily life...
Removing all the things that, internally "make me a woman" is the most liberating and Girl Power move, I've done...
I'm heading towards my 40th birthday, excited about being in better health.. physically/mentally and emotionally.
