Home league game this week for the boys against Eagle Madrid, started off really strong and took the lead, then really tailed off, not our greatest showing some poor work rate and uncharacteristic bad decisions and a great opposition goal keeper display meant we couldn’t hold on to our lead.

A tough couple of weeks for the lads recently and a lot leaned hopefully ready for a big end to the season.

Man of the match’s this week were Theo and Jack 🏆🏆 Theo as always run himself into the ground and was a constant threat, Jack stepped up and put a proper shift in with a goal as well 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Last 16 of the cup today, an unbelievable start and then the boys seemed to struggle, to be fair our opponents really put us under pressure, but we put chances away when it mattered and managed to hold them off 💪🏻

Parents MOM was Harry 🏆 apart from his 2 goals his pressing was absolutely relentless and never gave their defence a minute👏🏻

Coaches MOM was James 🏆 in a game full of chaos, Jimmys calmness was brilliant to see 👏🏻

Cherrybrook Betis Feb Player of the Month, voted for by the parents is Tommie, he’s been exceptional since joining us and fully deserves this, well done Tom 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The boys had 2 games this weekend, a friendly on Friday night against another Cherrybrook side which was a horror show 👻 it’s like they’d never played footy together before, however loads of credit to our opponents they played really well and deserved to batter us 👏🏻

Moving on to Saturday in the league against a good Lymm side, the difference was unreal, in torrential rain and hailstone we dominated the game, played some great football the only thing we didn’t do well was put the ball in the net, created loads of good chances and the boys were gutted not to get the win, unfortunately conceding a penalty in the last min (never a penalty btw)

MOMs were Rhys and Jake - both so solid and really good on the ball making great decisions 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
