Walking Blog This is my own personal blog. Since lockdown this year, we have seen an increase in people walking. I'm one of those people.

I would like to encourage people to carry this on as we come out of lockdown. Setting walking routes for people to complete. In my blogging posts I like to recommend products related to walking, including clothing and equipment. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases

Please can you help share these pictures. They are my grandads (Walter Mitchell) half brother and sister. He has never met them and only been given these pics. We don't know their names. Pictures are taken around approx 1950 /1960s. Their dad was from Yemen and born maybe around 1910. He owned a men's boarding house in Sheffield maybe Attercliffe around this time 1960's. We have little information to go off. The name of his dad could of been mohammed siad, we are not sure. A surname of rigby could be a connection to a wife. If anyone recognises these people please let me know. The pic with the 3 boys - are my grandad in his 20's in the middle with two boys from the boarding school. If anyone has any names of Yemin boarding houses for men in sheffield, particular around this time please let me know.

**Ennerdale water** Western lakes.

This one was tough because we did this on the hottest day of the year in July. Took a few wrong turns but we made it. The walk is 7.3 miles and takes about 4 hours. It is very rocky on one side of the lake. Beautiful place and very quiet. Check this walk out below.

This was a Tough climb from the bottom of Bell's end to the top. The route takes you past Ogden Reservoirs and Fell Wood.

There are 2 routes. We took the harder one from Barley car park. Footpath is easy to follow and we'll signposted. There is a cabin in the carpark where you can food buy too and toilets.

I did it!!! Climbed Silver Howe this weekend - 9.5 mile route around Grasmere & Rydal.. Great Walk, Great weather. Longer than planned but the views were amazing.

Parked up in Grasmere on the Stock Lane car park and headed towards Allan Bank. Easy to follow the route to the summit.

We then headed down to Rydal and past the Rydal Caves, which was a nice surprise. We then headed back to Grasmere along the lake. Check out the route on my Strava map.
