Looking forward to longer (and warmer days). I'm chomping at the bit to get out my lathes and start wood turning again. I'm going to make something for the WI County Show in September :-)

I've posted a bit about the new exhibit I'm trying to get together for The Knitting Tent on my blog. If you want to get involved, and I hope you do, please get to work. I don't want to keep it strictly knitted/crocheted, so use any medium you like. I quite fancy some paper mache fish floating around, so may get The Boy to make some.

The Knitting Tent: Exhibition for The Knitting Tent

I'm thinking of making a hyperbolic crochet wall hanging for The Knitting Tent and wondered if any of my crocheting friends would like to make one and donate it. Any size, colour or yarn is welcome :-D

Does anyone have any experience of working with blind people? I've been asked to teach a blind woman how to knit and I wondered if anyone has any tips.

Managed to turn another couple of hooks today, one in Mahogany (which is a bitch to turn) and one in a reclaimed piece of I don't know what wood. They have both turned out lovely but the unknown one is pretty spectacular. Pics will follow when they are ready for sale and the weather is better for taking photos.

Spent a lovely day turning a 4mm hook from Tulipwood. Photos to follow tomorrow :-)
