Three miles of fun on our rather wet nordic walk this morning. Unfortunately we didn’t get the view on Billinge Beacon but we made up for it afterwards with a coffee at the newly refurbished ice cream parlour at Bankes Park.
A good feeling to get back to our walks, coffees and chats !

Three successful weeks of nordic walking in June since restrictions have been lowered.
It’s been such a good fulfilling feeling getting back out there with my customers.
Everyone has enjoyed the exercise and the social interaction.
Social, health and adventure walks, or whatever your walk......remember to follow these six simple rules;
Stand tall
Eyes up
Shoulders back, down and relaxed
Swing arms from shoulders
Maintain a neutral pelvis
Step lightly through heel to toe

Our 2nd Adventure Nordic Walk since the easing of lockdown. In a group of six with social distancing in place and sanatized poles our route took us along Rainford Linear Park and the surrounding fields.
6.1 miles in 2h 10mins.
A perfect activity whatever your fitness level.
Increase your stamina, improve posture, strengthen upper, lower body and core muscles, appreciate the outdoors and make new friends.....plus lots more benefits!

Loneliness Awareness Week
Loneliness and social isolation are unfortunately a common experience for many of us as we get older. A lack of social interaction can seriously damage our health so it is really important that we find social activities that we enjoy. Our classes help people to come together to socialise and exercise. Sadly, all of our classes are currently suspended, but we will let you know as soon as they're able to recommence. In the meantime, we have put together a support pack to help older people to stay active and socialise during lockdown, just go to ⬇️
