Last of this years gradings, congratulations to Mick 3rd kyu and Kanyin 5th kyu

Hironori Ōtsuka, founder of Wado-ryu, taught that true karate is not strength against strength.
With a simple movement of the body, he allowed the opponent’s attack to neutralize itself.

Deeply influenced by traditional Japanese Jujutsu, he emphasized harmony, balance, and efficiency over brute force.

“True budo is harmony, not collision.”

That is Wado-ryu:
efficiency, control, and respect.
