Mabon is a pagan festival that marks the second harvest and a time of balance, gratitude and reflection as the days and nights become equal before we move into the darker half of the year.

Decorate your piece with autumn treasures such as oak leaves, acorns, mushrooms, flowers, celestial symbols and personal motifs that hold meaning for you. Your shrine can become a special place to display seasonal treasures, light a tealight, or simply serve as a mindful reminder to pause and give thanks.

Come and slow down, embrace the beauty of the harvest season, and create a meaningful piece to treasure for years to come. ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒ™

There are far more ways to meditate than most people realize.

One of the most overlooked forms is active meditation.

Active meditation is simply bringing your full awareness to what you're doing. The goal isn't to force every thought out of your mind. It's to notice when your mind wanders, acknowledge the thought, let it go, and gently return your focus to the present moment.

Walking, gardening, painting, showering, dancing, and yesโ€”even washing the fu***ng dishesโ€”can all become meditation.

Feel the warm water on your hands. Notice the scent of the soap, the sound of the water, and the movement of your body. If a thought comes up, don't chase it. Acknowledge it, let it pass, and return your attention to what you're doing.

That's active meditation.

One of my favorite examples is dancing.

Turn the music up and move. Sing along if you want to. Feel the rhythm, the movement of your body, and the energy of the moment. Instead of worrying about how you look or whether you're "doing it right," simply be present with the music.

For many people, dancing naturally quiets the mental chatter because your attention is on the movement, the lyrics, the beat, and your breath. You're not forcing your thoughts awayโ€”you've simply given your mind something to fully engage with.

That's active meditation.

It isn't about doing nothing.

It's about being fully present in what you're already doing.
