A great day for the club as our 1st team lads registered a 26-6 win over 3rd placed Saddleworth, in front of some old faces cheering them on.

Just before kick off the lads were told to honour the club’s past and build for our future and we produced the best 40 minutes of the season as we went in 18-6 up at half time. Tries from George Green, Tom Hopkins and Luke Sutcliffe, all converted by Harry Ireland, gave us a healthy scoreline at the break.

The 2nd half was a more cagey affair with just another Tom Hopkins try and 2 Harry Ireland goals adding to the score for a 26-6 win.

Man of the Match was the old stager Tom Hopkins, who produced another vintage performance but then ducked the post match “downing of the pint,” passing the reins to Aiden Hampson who was an absolute beast for 80 minutes; a week short of his 13th birthday.
