We don’t overcharge, because we don’t need to. We’re not a commercial race business, we’re organised by volunteers and every single bit of profit goes back into the local community, through grass roots sports clubs, projects, sports teams, charities, local initiatives and more.

Since 1984, thousands of runners have lined up in Wilmslow to take on 13.1 miles.

No Strava. No carbon plates. No GPS watches. Just running. 🏃

There are plenty of half marathons out there… so why choose Wilmslow? 👀

💨 It’s FAST. Olympians, elite athletes and thousands of everyday runners have raced our roads — and there have been a LOT of PBs along the way.

💰 It’s affordable. We’re proud to be one of the best-value half marathons around, because we believe brilliant race days shouldn’t come with a huge price tag. Our unique race tech t-shirts aren’t an additional cost, no hidden fee’s with us 😎

❤️ Your entry actually does some good. We’re not a big corporate event company. The Wilmslow Running Festival is organised by passionate volunteers, and our profits go straight to charity, the local community and grass roots sports clubs.

🌸 It’s in MARCH. Months to train, cooler race-day temperatures and the perfect target to get you through winter. Whether it’s your A-race or the start of a bigger year, the timing just works.

🎉 And most importantly… it’s FUN. Big crowds. Brilliant volunteers. Loads of support. Thousands of runners. A proper race-day atmosphere.

Big thank you to everyone who donated to when they signed up to Wilmslow Running Festival this year!

With your help, we’ve achieved the following ⬇️

• Planted 2532 trees in Kenya (reforesting mangroves)
• Planted 232 trees in Nepal (restoring native forests)
• Prevented 1916 bottles from ending up in the ocean in Brazil
• Prevented 1266 bottles from ending up in the ocean in Indonesia
• Prevented 2346 bottles from ending up in the ocean in the Philippines
• Removed 44.05 tonnes of CO2 (green infra wind project)

Huge thank you to for all of the incredible work they do. We’ll keep pushing for a greener Wilmslow Running Festival and we’re committed to improving again next year! 💪🏼

Tommy Fury is at it again, proving he’s not just about the boxing ring 🥊

After controversial moments in previous races, including a shove at the Great North Run and accusations during a triathlon, Fury has returned to the long-distance scene.

This past weekend, the 26-year-old took on the Wilmslow Half Marathon and didn’t just finish, he sprinted across the line, claiming a new personal best over 13.1 miles. Sporting a sleek black running vest and his signature sunglasses, Fury showed off both speed and determination, earning cheers (and a few raised eyebrows) from spectators.

Whether you love him or love to critique him, it’s clear Fury has found a new passion for running, and he’s sprinting into it with full force.
