Wilmslow Bowling Club

The sun was shining at Wilmslow Bowling Club for the British Heart Foundation 'BBQ & Bowls' event, held in memory of Dave Pettit. The weather, the setting and the large attendance all helped to create a special atmosphere. A very big thank you to Chris Banfield for the delicious BBQ and to Sue and Christa. Your 'Strawberry Delight' dessert was perfect ! Alan Nottingham and Ian Wynne organized the ' not too competitive ' bowling competition which produced a very worthy winner in Martin Cloves, himself a prodigy of Dave's Wednesday morning social bowling sessions. Many congratulations Martin ! The day drew to a close with some warm and heartfelt words from Dave's wife Paula, thanking everybody for their kindness, help and participation. Dave would have loved it !

Wilmslow Bowling Club B team in the Knutsford Bowling League who finished 1st in Division 5. They have been promoted for winning in that division.
