Tri Team Wessex

At the weekend Rich, Marc & Chris enjoyed a sunny day out on The Ridgeway, where they took part on Glorious Gravel’s Epic 70k event. Judging by the photo they had a great time!

Huge congratulations to Mia, who produced an awesome result at Ironman Copenhagen, finishing in 10.58.53 with fantastic splits across the board!! This was Mia’s first long distance event - so even more impressive!!

Massive congratulations to Gemma for completing the Outlaw Original long distance Triathlon at the weekend in 14.55.03! Tough day at the office, swim replaced by a run, very windy bike, sunny and hot marathon. Absolutely fantastic achievement for Gemma’s first long distance Tri. Great job Gemma, also to dad David for the “on course” support!!!

…and finally, on our own doorstep, the mighty team of Rob, Dan and Henrik took 1st place at the prestigious (and superb charity event) Pedal, Paddle, Pace at the weekend! Several other club members took part, and club picnic celebrations followed! Well done team!!!

Continuing the UK AG results, Sarah travelled to sunny Eastbourne to take on choppy sea conditions and the mighty Beachy Head! A 5th AG finish should secure her a slot at the 2027 World Championships… Brilliant!!

In UK Age Group News, Bill and Carol have spent this week at the 2026 Europe Multisport Triathlon Championships in Banyoles, taking part in multiple events. First results in, with the Sprint Duathlon, where both finished high up in their AGs, with 2027 automatic qualification in the bag!!

Wow! Another weekend of stunning Ironman results for the club. Mary took on the Spanish heat at Ironman Vitoria-Gasteiz and finished 2nd in her AG with a stunning time of 12.27.55, including a 4.04 Marathon! Closer to home Chris smashed Ironman 70.3 Swansea on the beautiful “Costa Gower” in 5.45.46 Congratulations both!

Massive congratulations to Nick who not only completed Ironman Switzerland Thun at the weekend, but his time of 10.18.28 earned him a top Age Group slot and qualification for the Ironman World Championships later this year! Next stop Hawaii!!

Congratulations to Mary and Jackie for completing the epic “Chase the Sun” ride last weekend. A 205 mile cross England ride from Minster-on-Sea to Weston-Super-Mare, where they arrived before sunset. Job done!!

Another weekend of events for the club. Ronnie & Mike travelled up to Rutland Water for the Dambuster Standard Distance Triathlon. Reservoir swim, fast rolling bike and a flat run in warm and humid conditions made for a great day out!
