Are you interested in learning a mindful approach to coping with peri and menopausal symptoms? I designed this workshop to teach yoga and Ayurvedic practices that help manage your symptoms. You will earn poses, breathwork, meditation and Ayurvedic rituals that nourish your body, mind and spirit.

Set in a lovely countryside studio in Kings Worthy, the workshop will include the following:
- Hatha yoga practice
- Pranayama – breathwork
- Loving kindness meditation
- Explanation of Ayurvedic rituals
- Open, supportive discussion

There are 10 spaces available at £40 per person. Includes glutenfree, vegan snacks and a takeaway packet of information.

There are three dates available: Sunday 3rd July, 28th August or 20th November 2pm to 5pm.

Suitable for all levels, beginners to experience yogis welcome. You will be offered a range of poses to suit your personal needs.

Join me for weekly yoga classes where we will delve into the fundamentals of a holistic yoga practice. There is a richness and depth to yoga that goes far beyond the poses. I have designed these classes to teach you to connect with your practice and yourself on the mat so that you can use these teachings off the mat.

The classes will cover:
• Asana (poses)
• Pranayama (breathwork)
• Meditation
• Understanding our bodies in the poses
• Aligning breath with movement
• Yoga philosophy
• The Subtle/Energetic body
• Yoga off the mat

These classes are perfect for beginners, for those who have been practicing yoga online and would like to move into the studio, for those who would like to deepen their practice and for those who are returning to the mat after some time away.

There will be takeaways each week: journal prompts, self-care tips and rituals to practice between classes.

There are 14 spaces available, £15 per class. Students are asked to bring their own mats, other props will be provided.

Yin Yoga with Jess

Sundays 2nd Jan to 6th Feb 7pm – 8:15pm

Jess is running a six week Introduction to Yin Yoga course. We will delve into the physical, mental and emotional benefits of a yin based yoga practice through breathwork and asana. Yin Yoga is the antidote to our busy, yang lifestyles. Yin offers us the opportunity to find stillness and release tension in the physical body. During a yin practice, we hold poses longer, gently stretching the connective tissues, making them a little longer and stronger. This increases circulation, flexibility and improves joint movement. Becoming still in a pose and focusing on the breath and body, the mind starts to go quiet. And when the mind begins to quieten down, things start to come up, emotions and feelings that tend to be suppressed by distractions and the busyness of life. Yin yoga encourages those feelings to flow, but to hold back from identifying with them, just observing the emotions, and releasing mental and emotional tension.

Yin Yoga is yielding and nurturing. We care for our body and soul. I will hold you in a safe space to let go physically and mentally. The body will feel lengthened and strengthened. You will leave my class feeling nourished through the opening of energetic pathways and the releasing of tension.

Classes are booked in a block of six and there are six spaces available. Payment is required in advance and is £75 for the six classes.

I am going to be featured at the end of the month in a Zestcast! I have been contributing content to the Wake Up With Zest wellness hub for months and have been asked to discuss how yoga helps alleviate stress. In particular, we will be discussing my Desk Yoga sessions for de-stressing in the workplace.

I teach 20 minute Desk Yoga sessions to businesses and groups. I incorporate breathwork (pranayama), movement and meditation into each session. Each session is different and my aim is to teach techniques and movement people can start using daily to cope with stress.

I will be speaking with Rachel from Wake up with Zest on the 25th November at 4:30pm. A Zestcast is similar to a podcast but is video and on youtube. So, I will post it here once it is live. Really looking forward to it!

Hello everyone!
Welcome to my Ahimsa Yoga with Jess page. I have created this page to connect with people locally in Winchseter as well as online.

I currently run two classes online:
Tuesdays - Hatha Yoga 7pm - 8pm
Thursdays - Power Yoga 7am - 8am

I teach Hatha Yoga in a holistic way, incorporating pranayama, meditation and yogic philosophy into each class. I am inspired by the natural cycles of the earth and moon, and incorporate Ayurvedic principles into my teaching as well. Every class is uniquely created and you will leave my class feeling refreshed, grounded and centred.

Physically, I’ll guide you towards finding your comfortable edge, by tuning in and understanding how your body moves on the mat. Our bodies are different every time we practice, and I believe there is no one way to do a yoga pose. Through practice you will begin to feel the subtle shifts in the body, your strength and flexibility will increase and energy will flow freely.

Mentally, I’ll teach you to find and listen to your authentic self. It is who you are fundamentally, it’s your quiet voice, your intuition, the deep unadulterated part of your soul that has been buried under protective layers. When we find stillness through our practice, we access this part of ourselves, through practice we begin to notice the difference between who we think we are and who we truly are.
