💃🇪🇸 Fun Facts About Spain & Flamenco! 🇪🇸💃

This month at Diddi Dance we're exploring the exciting world of Flamenco, so here are some fun facts to share with your little dancer!

✨ Flamenco comes from Spain, especially a region called Andalusia in the south.

👏 Flamenco dancers often use rhythmic clapping, known as palmas, to keep the beat.

👣 The famous foot stamping in Flamenco is called zapateado.

🎸 Traditional Flamenco music often features a Spanish guitar.

💃 Flamenco isn't just a dance – it's a way of expressing feelings through movement, music and rhythm.

We're having so much fun learning new moves, listening to Spanish-inspired music and dancing our way around the world this month!

🌟 Meet Daisy! 🌟

We’re so excited to welcome Daisy to the Diddi Dance team! 💃✨

Daisy joined Diddi Dance to further develop her teaching with children under 5. Alongside Diddi Dance, she teaches dance elsewhere, mainly working with SEN students, and is looking forward to exploring how her new role can help her grow as a teacher for younger children.

When asked what she’s most excited about, Daisy said: “I’m looking forward to dancing to all the different themes each term and using the props – especially the hula hoops! I’m excited to get started and meet all the children!” 🎶🌈🪄

Meet Sophie! ✨

Sophie trained in Musical Theatre Performance and has been teaching Diddi Dance since July 2021. She loved it so much that she decided to open her own Diddi Dance franchise in Wi******er!

Alongside Diddi Dance, Sophie teaches singing, speech and drama in local schools and runs her own theatre school. She’s incredibly lucky to teach everyone from little ones taking their first dance steps to adults enjoying dance classes… complete with Prosecco! 🍾💃

When she’s not teaching, Sophie loves spending time with her little dog, Bobbi Brown🐶, performing in shows, spending gorgeous time with friends and family and her wonderful husband Ollie 🩷💚💙
