Hyde Abbey is a friendly outdoor bowls club situated in the heart of Wi******er. We are open from April to September and welcome new members and visitors.
The club provides excellent facilities for outdoor bowls, with six rinks and a club house.

They're back.
New season, new shirts, and our tenacious two are back in the Hampshire Ladies Pairs competition.
Diane and Karen played their first match at Lockwood (artificial rink), and despite the obvious disadvantage, and going in to the final end 15 all, managed a 19/15 win.
Well done to both, and good luck in the next round.

The Mayor of Wi******er was on hand to open the Green for the 2025 season and received expert coaching from our President.
If you look carefully to her left you can see the mayors bodyguard checking it's not a bomb!

This is the Aussie Pairs competition trophy sponsored by Jim Tarrant, the current President of Wi******er Bowls Club, to commemorate the link, and friendly rivalry between our two clubs.
This year the final was contested between 2 teams from Hyde Abbey Bowls Club.

Well, they did it.
Diane Rumney and Karen Hunter from Hampshire (Hyde Abbey) made it to Leamington.
Here they are having won their first match against Bedfordshire and putting them in the top 30. Unfortunately they lost in the afternoon to Northampton.
Well done ladies. Cant wait for the after-party.
