I want you to know one thing....

This whole fitness thing, isn’t a one-size-fits-all proposition. It’s not going to look the exact same person to person.

Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Keto, The Mediterranean Diet, Low Carb, Slim Fast. There are a ton of different diets out there that all claim to be the very best way for you to FINALLY lose the body fat you have been struggling to lose.

They all work. Every single one of them, but they might not work for YOU.

What’s important is finding a diet that you can sustain for the long haul.

Has this happened to you?⬇️
✅Follows diet.
✅Had some results.
➡️Diet becomes to restrictive. Difficult to stay on track.
➡️Goes off plan. Goes off plan again. Goes off plan again.
➡️Back to square one.

Just because your friend Susan is doing Slim Fast doesn’t mean you have to. If Susan can sustain Slim Fast for the rest of her life and is happy, then more power to her.

The big question to ask yourself regarding any diet Is this. Can I see myself eating this way for the rest of my life? If the answer is NO find another diet.

You are way better off finding a diet or way of eating that works for you over the long haul. One that allows you flexibility. One that allows you to enjoy the foods you love. One that allows you to live your life.
Same goes for exercise, If you hate doing high intensity cardio, then stop doing it (my ladies in this photo...LOVE IT 🤣🤣) if you hate running, then don’t run. Find a way of exercising that will help you achieve your goals and one you love to do. Because if you hate what you are doing, you won’t do it. It’s that simple.

Finding what works for you may take some time and even more importantly consistent practice. Once you find it, you will settle in and realise that no one diet and exercise programme is THE way to reach your goals. It’s up to you to find what works for you.

My training is still very much stripped back, focusing on alot of mobility, lower body and core strengthening. Bodyweight, light weights and banded work.

💫Polycystic O***y Syndrome & Resistance Training💫
Why it should be part of your PCOS plan❓️

For decades women were told that they should stick to the treadmill and that weights were for boys!, well, thank the lord that common sense, and science, has caught up to show us the benefits of resistance training for women.

This is especially true for women with PCOS. Why❓️ It's because the benefits of resistance training also directly help to improve and underlying drivers of PCOS. This means that resistance training should be a part of your overall PCOS plan. Resistance training is any exercise where your muscle are forced to work against a resistance, that could be a dumbbell, kettlebell, barbell, exercise machine, resistance band, or even your own body weight.

Benefits of resistance exercises include:⤵️
🏋️‍♀️Lower androgen levels
🏋️‍♀️Improves insulin sensitivity
🏋️‍♀️Improves mood
🏋️‍♀️Improves metabolism
🏋️‍♀️Lowers blood sugar levels
🏋️‍♀️Improves body composition

You may be thinking that if you have elevated androgen levels and do resistance training that you may "get bulky" but, this just isn't true. Resistance training can actually help to lower androgen levels plus unless you're training and eating like Arnold Schwarzenegger, you simply won't be putting enough stress on your body to force it to grow that much muscle.

So don't be afraid of resistance training, there are so many benefits of it for your PCOS. Also please understand you CAN STILL achieve your weight lost goals with PCOS ❤️

LBT Class added to our timetable starting Tuesday 26TH of July at 9:30am.

LBT ( Legs, Bums, & Tums) is a fantastic new class added to our timetable that is designed to tone legs, glutes and core.
This fun and engaging class uses a mixture of body weight, resistance loops and core sliders. Subtitle for all fitness levels. It is a perfect addition to your fitness routine.

🥳NEW CLASS ALERT🥳

I will be getting in the saddle and taking a 30 minute lunchtime spin class at Five Star Gym.

📍 Windsor Berkshire
📅 Starting this Friday 15th July
⏲️ 12.30-1pm

This ride will simulate varied terrain as you tackle rolling hills, sprints, climbs and other drills to give you a great interval workout.

This class is for the beginners as well as seasoned cyclists! 🚴‍♀️
