Collateral ligament shoe
1. Stabilize the Joint: Reduce movement that could exacerbate the injury
2. Redistribute Weight: Minimize stress on the injured ligament.
3. Enhance Comfort: Reduce pain and promote a more natural gait
4. Lateral or Medial Extensions:
• Purpose: Extends the shoe to the outside (lateral) or inside (medial) of the hoof.
• Effect: Adjusts the way the hoof lands and takes off, altering the stress distribution to support the injured ligament. Distributes weight more evenly across the hoof, reducing localized pressure.
