Appreciate the now.
So often, we are a part of something beyond special or great and don’t even realize it. i did nothing to earn or deserve the coaches or teammates in my home town that shaped my knowledge and experience in wrestling. i was just in the right place at the right time. Nothing more, nothing less. Jesus had me right where He needed me. That’s all. If not for Jody Strittmatter, Eric Juergens, Murray Rose, Joe Simaz, Craig Nartker, Cam Simaz, Eric Simaz, Tony Danzig, Ron Orr, and the list goes on beyond understanding, then i have nothing to give the athletes i humbly work with daily.
Who knew Jody and Eric would build a dynasty that helps produce guys like Bo Bassett and so many other champions. Champions in wrestling, champions in life and champions in Christ.
i pray to make a fragment of the impact on the athletes i am humbled to coach today.
i can confidently say, i learned from the absolute best and continue to do so! Thank you wrestling and all involved. Let’s keep planting seeds!
