A successful morning at Reading RFC in the Berkshire Cup with wins and some great rugby from the U14 As and Bs.
The As were first up and powered to an impressive 0-53 win, scoring 9 tries in the process. The Bs superbly clinched a win in a much tighter affair, with the final score 10-17.
Some great perfomances and rugby and great rugby spirit shown from all of the players 👏👏
Berkshire Brigands Mixed Ability rugby festival at Home Park on the 9th April - fantastic event!
Opportunities to get involved and even sponsor the event.
A nail biting morning at Amersham for the U14 A supporters this morning.
The scores were level at half time against an excellent Amersham side. Windsor scored a fantastic converted try from a very well judged kick through after the break, before the Amersham forwards replied with a converted score of their own.
The scores were tied with 5 mins to go, but Windsor scores a 35 yard penalty for a narrow 7-10 win.
A great game played in the right spirit. Thanks for Amersham for being such great hosts 👏
A fantastic 19-12 win for the U14 Bs in the Berkshire cup this morning against Hungerford.
The team, including a few boys playing their first games for the club, played some great rugby throughout including some great scrummaging (against the head), committed tackling, great ruck speed and three well work tries.
The game was played in a great spirit and the boys should be very proud of their performance!
Good luck to the U14 B’s this morning in their Berkshire Cup match vs Hungerford. 11:30 ko on pitch 4 (where we train) for those that would like to come along and watch.
A great fixture this morning at Beaconsfield for the WRFC under 14s As and Bs.
Despite tough underfoot conditions we saw two very good and tightly contested games. The As came out with a superb 5-12 win and the Bs with a narrow 10-0 loss.
For their first ever game of 15 a side rugby, all of the boys should be very proud of their efforts!
Training today at home park for the boys - 11:00 to 12:30 in the normal spot 💪
Hi everyone, just in case you missed Dave's email this evening, Rugby has been cancelled tomorrow because of the weather.
The pitches are likely to be frozen and we don't want to risk anyone getting hurt.
Enjoy your Sunday morning lie in!
An amazing 32 boys turned up yesterday in the rain, wind and cold at home park! Those are the days you earn your rugby stripes - thanks to all that braved the conditions.
Another training session next Sunday, so fingers crossed for slightly better weather and another great turn out!
