Most men over 35 put what’s happening to their body down to age.⁣

But age isn’t ordering the takeaways. Age isn’t skipping sleep. Age isn’t the reason the body has stopped responding.⁣

It’s years of stress, poor recovery and pushing through on an internal system that’s been running on empty for too long.⁣

And eventually the body stops cooperating.⁣

The fat won’t shift. The muscle won’t build. The energy and drive that used to come naturally just aren’t there anymore.⁣

Most men at this point try to discipline their way through it.⁣

More training. Stricter diet. Push harder.⁣

But you can’t out discipline a system that isn’t functioning properly.⁣

That’s the part most coaches never address.⁣

But honestly it’s a pattern I see more often than you’d think.

Not always this dramatic.

But the hesitation at the moment it gets real is something a lot of men will recognise in themselves.

Most driven men over 35 are wired to provide.

They work hard. They show up. They do what needs to be done for their family.

But a lot of them have quietly stopped providing for themselves.

Their health has slipped down the priority list.

Energy is low.

They’re running on empty most of the time.

And the people closest to them feel it.

Even if nobody says it out loud.

Here’s the thing nobody tells you.

The greatest thing you can give your family isn’t a bigger house or a better holiday or more hours at work.

It’s a version of you that’s healthy, energised and fully present.

A dad who can run on the beach with his kids without getting out of breath.

A partner who shows up with energy and confidence rather than just getting through the day.

A man who’s going to be around for a long time.

That’s what taking your health seriously actually means.

Not just for you.

Low libido after 35 almost always gets blamed on testosterone.⁣

And while testosterone plays a role, it’s rarely where the problem actually starts.⁣

Here’s what most men don’t realise.⁣

Cortisol and testosterone have an inverse relationship.⁣

When one goes up, the other tends to come down.⁣

When you’re chronically stressed, running on poor sleep and operating on adrenaline all day, your body makes a decision.⁣

Survival first. S*x drive second.⁣

That’s not a malfunction. That’s your biology doing exactly what it’s designed to do.⁣

Which means the man who’s exhausted, wired and not recovering properly doesn’t have a testosterone problem.⁣

Or at least that wasn’t the initial upstream driver.⁣

He has a stress and recovery problem that’s showing up as a testosterone problem.⁣

Testosterone boosters won’t fix that.⁣

This is why you can’t look at one marker in isolation.⁣
