Bray Lake Watersports is a well established water sports centre specialising in a number of water based activities including windsurfing Windsurfing club based at Bray Lake Watersports
Operating as usual
Windsurfing is the sport with the longest history at Bray Lake and is where the centre began. Over 40 years ago Bray Lake was a windsurf only venue and had a regular group of windsurfers who loved spending time on the water discovering what this sport had to offer.
Over the years the centre has gone through many changes but windsurfing still remains a favourite sport with our staff members and customers alike.
When asked why he loves windsurfing Chief Instructor Andy said:
"Exhilaration, freedom, challenge"

Conditions we need to be aware of include,
• High Blood Pressure
• Heart Conditions
• Or any other condition you think we should be aware of.
Please send us an email at [email protected] with the details of your condition and any information medical professionals would need to know.

Since the centre re-opened it has been great to see everyone enjoying being back on and in the water. We are now able to open up some more activities and the below information contains a full update on the activities currently available and more information for how to book online.
We are now in a position to increase the activities on offer to Friends of Bray Lake, from the 1st August, please see the below information for how to book.
The centre is now open 7 days a week and we also have extended hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for some activities.
With the increased use of online bookings, going forwards, our paid members will be able to book sessions 10 days in advance and Friends of Bray Lake will be able to book 7 days in advance.
We are now booking tuition 7 days a week in all the sports we offer, dinghy sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking and canoeing. Currently we are offering a mixture of private tuition and group sessions. To book a session please can you send an email to [email protected] or give us a call on 07598 663688.
Over the recent weeks we have been able to increase the number of spaces available in our swim sessions and thank you to everyone who has been following our new safety procedures. However, there have been an increasing amount of people arriving either too early or too late for their swim sessions. Please make sure you arrive within 15 minutes of your session start time.
All swim sessions must be pre-booked online and our current swim sessions are:
Tuesday and Thursday: 6am – 9:30am and 5pm – 8:30pm
Saturday and Sunday: 7am – 10am
When booking please double check you have booked for the correct time. All swims slots are 1 hour and either start on the hour or on the half hour.
Launching of your own equipment is now available to everybody. This must be pre-booked online and you need to book a space for each craft being launched. If you are booking multiple spaces on the same session these must be booked on individual accounts so each person launching has booked on their own account.
Launch sessions are available 7 days a week and there are some evening slots available as well.
The launch spaces are spilt into paddle sports (SUP, kayak and canoe) and sail sports (windsurf and dinghy sailing). There are a set number of spaces per session and we will be monitoring this and will increase spaces if we think we can safely do so.
Hire is now available to all users and this must be pre-booked. The booking of hire equipment is split between online and phone depending on the craft, please see the list below:
Basic SUP – Online
Touring SUP – Online
Sit on Top Kayaks (Single and Doubles) – Online
Canoes – Online
Sit In Kayaks – Phone
Dinghies – Phone
Windsurf Equipment – Phone
Hire sessions for paddle sports are 1 hour long and for sail sports are 2 hours. When booking hire equipment you will need a separate user to book each craft being hired.
There is currently limited hire equipment available, but we will increase numbers as we can. We will also be adding in more mid-week sessions over the next week.
