Our grass court season is now over 🙁

Unfortunately we have had to cancel the American Tournament tomorrow definitely too wet for grass court tennis ☔️🙁☔️

We had a fabulous day of amazing tennis yesterday at our Club Finals. Still no-one can knock Helen and Pete off their top spot of singles champions but we did have new winners of the doubles.
Pete beat Ben 6-1, 6-2
Helen beat Sangi 6-4, 7-6 (this match was 2 hours long!)
Mark S & Matt beat Pete & Paul 6-2, 6-3
Sangi & Liz beat Helen & Anna 6-0, 6-1
Sangi & Andy beat Anne & Ben 7-6, 3-6 10-6

Our Plate winner was Will who beat Mark C 6-2

We hosted the Berkshire 9U Novices competition on Sunday - finishing just in time to watch the Wimbledon Men’s final!!

Finals day today for our early season Handicap Tournament. We had sun(!) and a lot of fantastic matches. Unfortunately we couldn’t play our ladies doubles today but this will be played on a later date.
Ladies’ final : Amanda Hall bt Jill Hardman 3-6, 6-3, 5-3 ( the 3rd set just needed a win by 2 games!)
Men’s final: Nick Grime bt Nick Broad 6-4, 3-6, 2-0

Men’s doubles : Nick Grime & James Gunson bt Mark Shelmerdine & Paul Serjeant 6-1, 6-2

Mixed doubles: Amanda Hall & Gary Hall bt Helen Barnett & Paul Batty 6-4, 7-6
