Home Park - 25th June 2023
21 fished
Geoff Savin 10 lb 6 oz
Colin Underwood 6 lb 8 oz
Mick Sullivan 6 lb 3 oz
Colin Wainwright 5 lb 12 oz
Weights were down on last week's result which was probably due to the high temperature and breezy conditions.
Catches were mixed bags of roach, dace, perch, small chub, small skimmers and bleak.
Well done Geoff.

As a new club member, I was hoping to get some advice. I really like lure fishing (mostly for pike and perch), and I was thinking about giving the Jubilee river a go. Any advice regarding what works well with regards to lures, on the Jubilee river ? Any specific spots to look out for ?
What's your other favourite lure fishing spots (perhaps on Thames) ?
Anyone fished the Jubilee River yet, any luck never? seem to see anyone on it
We are a coarse angling club based in Windsor, Berkshire. Affiliated to Thames Valley Angling Associa The club runs matches most Sundays.
We control the fishing on parts of the Thames around Windsor and through association have access to the Wey Navigation Canal and the Basingstoke Canal.
Operating as usual

Colin Wainwright 25 lb 2 oz
Martyn Kiy 12 lb 0 oz
Richard Lear 8 lb 4 oz

Catches were mixed bags of roach, dace, perch, small chub, small skimmers and bleak.
Catches are normally low on the first river match of the season so these are particularly noteworthy.
Well done Colin.

Memberships
There has been a delay in issuing memberships due to a problem which had to be resolved.
The council changed the car park rules at Home Park. Parking on Saturdays and Sundays used to be free but will now be pay'n'display.
Following discussions club members can park for free at all times but you must have on display the car park permit available from us. These have not changed since last year so if you still have that one it is good.
If you do not have a parking permit contact me.
Memberships are now being issued once again and should be caught up in the next couple of days.
There will be work parties at Home Park on Sunday 21st, 28th May, 4th June and Wednesday 7th June. Meet at the gate at 9 am. Weather permitting.
I have been informed that Simon Pavey, a club member and keen angler, has passed away.
His family have said that the scattering of his ashes will be held in Rickmansworth on Saturday 7th January where the Grand Union Canal meets the River Colne opposite Tesco.
All his angling friends are welcome to attend.
Our condolences to Simon's family.
We still need a new match secretary.
If you are interested in having a go contact club secretary Alan Beaven or another committee member or drop an email to [email protected] .
