We welcome all Year-12 & 13 players (2023/24) who want to develop their rugby at Home Park, Windsor.
Windsor RFC age group rugby, each year we move up an age group
Operating as usual
….on a wet and miserable evening, good to see we’re back on Home Park!
A few legends out for supper in memory or ‘the Judge’…
Congratulations to all our end of season Windsor RFC U16s award winners, at last nights Presentation evening.
Amazing group of men….this years Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire and Berkshire Division 1 champions…
Rest well and see you all post Summer, for Colts rugby!
Now 10 years on from 1st U6 rugby tour…….
Who we got here then…?
Perhaps the dads enjoying the go-karts a little more than their boys....!
That's a wrap.....!
This has been an 11 year journey from Tag rugby, through Minis and now this weekend the end of their Junior rugby journey, finishing as Oxon, Bucks and Berks Division 1 winners.
Next season this group of fine young men transition to Colts rugby at Windsor RFC...and for the parent coaches, some well earned rest, as we return to simply being 'dads'!
Sorting the kit out for one last final session….not just the close of this U16 season, but the end of an 11 year journey with these boys…
….the players moving into Colts rugby, and the parent/coaches return to just being dads!
Where is all started, 10 years ago……!
Windsor U6/U7 rugby tour - the send off....!
3 of our finest representing London Irish yesterday……well done Alfie, Lockie and Liam……!
The London Irish under-16s turned on the style today to beat Saracens under-16s 43-21 at Harpenden RFC!
Brilliant start to the weekend, well done lads! 👏
To finish the weekend, our Killer Bs hosted Welwyn & Verulamians RFC.
In another great contest, Windsor were physical and a little more clinical in their ex*****on, and whilst always in a battle secured a well deserved win!
A hat trick of tries from long range from Charlie Mc and a full length of the field scorcher from Joe R…..4 great tries, all of them converted by Albert N for a 28-12 win.
A fine mornings rugger!
Good Saturday at the other office….Hazelwood ….for our U16 academy boys……
London Irish academy beat Harlequins academy 24-7
Well done Alfie, Lockie & Liam….great effort!
Cracking outing for our U16s debuting for Windsor Colts on Saturday morning, vs North Dorset touring team.
Randy, Toby, Charlie B, Eddie, Mani, Jacko, Noah, Hazza and Oscar S……..
…..9 from 15 of the team from our U16s….
Well done boys….really competitive game won 24-5, with all 3 tries coming from Mani, Hazza and Eddie….
Oh what a night.!
Under the floodlights, up against their local rivals, a consummate performance from this amazing group of young men.
The game was more of a contest than the score line may suggest, but with an impenetrable defence coupled with an exhilarating attack, Windsor registered 8 unanswered tries, for an impressive 0-56 win
On the scoresheet Jimmy W (2), Charlie Mc (2), Harry S (1), Lockie L (1), Mani H (1), Charlie K (1), all converted by ice cool Harry S.
Every one of this 21 player squad tonight deserves recognition….amazing performance! Well done boys!
American Football to finish off a more relaxed training session….
That’s a wrap……!
Windsor U16s A held off a strong Marlow U16s team in the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire (OBB) Division 1 encounter.
This top of the table match up was always going to be epic, but Windsor impressed, outscoring their visitors 3 tries to 1, in a physical but fair 22-7 win!
One game to go in OBB Division 1 but Windsor now look to have an unassailable position in the league.
The castle was protected.
Great session tonight with + 30 players focused on final prep for two important OBB games this weekend.
As hosting Marlow in OBB Division 1
Bs welcome Gosford ABs in OBB Division 3
Both KOs at 11:00.
Side by side, on pitches 1 & 2.
Be there, or miss out on an epic morning!
They’re looking at you….!
Some of the ducks have returned for half term break, but still missing 3 amongst our ranks…..
Own up….who has a duck, or who doesn’t give a duck…..?
Mixed fixed feelings about today….
Both Windsor U16 squads didn’t get the game they deserve today, with both Oxford Quins and Bracknell pulling out this week due to their numbers..
That said, a great Home Park training session, culminating with a well contested probable v possible match up at the end.
These boys……don’t get me started….!
Cracking night preparing for two OBB games this Sunday….
As home to Oxford Quins RFC
Bs away to Bracknell RFC
One club, one goal, one Windsor RFC
Windsor trio of Alfie H, Charlie K and Lockie L representing London Irish U16 Academy against Bath Academy…..
Irish came away with an excellent 43-28 win!
The weather still couldn't dampen enthusiasm for training under the lights at Home Park tonight. The parents possibly less delighted by how muddy the kit is but it's a small price to pay!
Not sure what the issue is…
U16s out & about……with some
walking rugby and rugby basketball……
….and then a massive contact session (not!)
Cracking contest between two very good teams in OBB Division 1 league.
Windsor edged the win 10-14, having recovered from a 10-0 deficit at half time.
Two cracking conversions the difference, but more than that, a strong & committed team performance!
Looking forward to the return at Home Park in March….
In what is an important top of the table match up, the boys are away to Marlow RFC tomorrow in the OBB Division 1 league.
