A scrappy game as expected with the wind heavily involved, neither team got out of first gear for the entirety of the 90 minutes.

We opened the scoring through Josh Spence from a wonderful Lee Harper cutback, a flash in the pan in an overall poor first half from both sides.

Methilhill came out the gates the better side in the second half and won themselves a penalty, calmly dispatched by their player.

The game opened up and was end to end for the last 15, with Eastvale being denied what can only be described as a stonewall penalty, as Travis Webster knocked it round their keeper,

A fair point given the balance of play and scrappy nature of the game, gives us plenty to work on ahead of next week,

🖤🤍 She’s one of our own 🤍🖤

We wanted to take a minute to highlight and showcase our appreciation to Niamh JJacksonn, the face behind Jackson Sports Therapy.

Niamh recently passed her level 3, sports massage assessment, and is now only a couple of steps away from having her diary open to clients! However we managed to get in there first and secure Jackson Sports Therapy, as part of team Eastvale, for the 2026/27 campaign.

Niamh will be working first hand with our players for the year. Showcasing her variety of expertise, in areas such as:
- Sports massage. 💆‍♂️
- Sports first aid. ⛑️
- Athletic strapping & clinical taping. ❤️‍🩹
- Kinesiology taping. ❤️‍🩹

We are already seeing a massive impact at the club. With our lads being provided with proper recovery plans, injury management and a good old
Fashion “rub doon” on a game day. Providing the players with the best opportunity to feel in peak condition as they continue to battle it out on the park.

Niamh, we simply thank you for joining us this season and for the impact you have already made. Everyone at Eastvale appreciates the time you’re giving to us.

We recommended everyone outwith the club keeps their eyes peeled, for when Jackson Sports Therapy opens their diary. This is not a service to be missed 👀

Happy birthday to club captain Robbie Wilson!

A wonderful voice in the changing rooms, never misses training (except when he’s on holiday - tut tut!), and also notched an assist in our recent game against Pitreavie, which I’m sure he’ll be hoping to build on during the remainder of the season.
